I cant get my show to play..HELP

YEah so i've read all of what this web site has to offer on downloading show and i'm stuck... i download the 12-20-03 show ( BEST D&F concert every!!) and i can not seem to figure out how to listen to the show. Mind you this is my first time every downloading anything from this site... i dont know what else to do.. hopeflly someone can help me. THanks:BANG

Did you get the show from a FTP server? I really have no idea how you could have recently gotten a show "from this site" as, the server is down. What are you trying to play, what type of file?

i assume you are trying to play an SHN?

yea... cann i do anything about that... i download winamp 5 and the shn plug in or whatever it was called.

what exactly did you download? shn? txt? ants file?

you can't play an ants file. you use it to launch the downloader which downloads the shn's.

one you do that, you can delete the ants file.

i downloaded the shn as well

you use winamp to play shn's. make sure you have the correct version of shnamp for winamp 5.

ok, do you hve to find the show thru winamp?

you can use file> open on winamp or you could just use windows explorer to find the folder. when you double click the .shn, it might ask you what program you want to use to oppen it. just choose winamp from the list.

and the 2000-2003 server is down right now, so that won't work either.

drag the file with the .shn extension into winamp directly, it should work.

oh, but you need this plugin first: http://www.etree.org/shnamp.html (get the one for whatever version of winamp you have)

i did that and i still have nothing. the file says that there is 00:00 time that could be my problem

also i dled the shn thing from that website and its in my peferences on winamp.. would i need to do something with that??

hmmm. are you sure you download the shns?

pretty sure, the file ends with .shnf

that's the folder the shns are in, open that and see if there are any files with the extension .SHN in it.

.md5 = checksum for making sure you downloaded all the shns completely
.txt = text file telling you which track each shn
