There's nothing great about Darien Lake. But, this tour was devoid of SPAC dates until recently which prompted many people to drive across the state to see the only DMB show in NY.
It's also close to the Great White North so fans from Southern Ontario and Toronto usually plan on driving the 2 hours to see them.
And I didn't know Rochester was gay either.

And RIT has about 20% more girls. Still not many, but more!
And we really should be D1.

I don't know about the women at RIT. I'm graduating from high school this year, and I've made a few trips up to RIT. First off, everybody looks kind of scared and intimidated, like the man has stuck it to them hard. Second, the women I've seen aren't that good looking. Not to defend the Clarkson girls, they're pretty butch too. I'm going to Clarkson next year, but thats because it's where my entire family has gone. Also I heard somewhere that Clarkson wants to go Ivy League, which if thats true I guess they gotta improve their guy to girl ratio, which means a lot of female recruiting.

^completely false. RIT's women will beat clarksons (lack of women) anyday. half of them are deaf anyway, so you dont have to worry about talking to them, either ;)
clarkson is not big enough to go ivy league. they wouldn't even be able to make their d3 teams d1 if 65-1 hadn't passed. RPI,SLU and Union were probably the only schools that could have pulled that off. Engineering schools will never become ivy league, because they represent something totally different. ivy league=schools for rich smart kids that don't know what they want in life. engineering schools=schools for smart kids who know exactly what they want

I'm just telling you what I heard. One of the admission people at Clarkson said something about going Ivy League, they didn't really have a date. But when I met with them, they did say they were gonna try. And I think this goes for both Clarkson and RIT: the women are not great. But both schools have some surrounding schools to supply that, Clarkson has SLU, SUNY Potsdam and SUNY Canton, and RIT has UofR, Naz, and Fisher.

I'm just telling you what I heard. One of the admission people at Clarkson said something about going Ivy League, they didn't really have a date. But when I met with them, they did say they were gonna try. I'm telling you right now, theres no way it could ever happen. They don't have the facilities or the student population to even be considered...let alone a 500 year tradition.
And I think this goes for both Clarkson and RIT: the women are not great. But both schools have some surrounding schools to supply that, Clarkson has SLU, SUNY Potsdam and SUNY Canton, and RIT has UofR, Naz, and Fisher. As soon as you're there you'll realize how wrong admissions people are. There are not women at Clarkson, and Potsdam does not have real women either. you (by you i mean clarkson students) can't/won't get SLU chicks, and SUNY Canton...give up on that one.
RIT is large enough that it actually does have some girls. I'm not an expert on rochester, so i can't say anything about UofR (although i hear thats a nerdy school), naz, and sjf. maybe seekup could post the intricies of that situation ;)
^this is nothing against you...sometime you're going to find out how big of a sausage fest clarkson is...i'm just trying to keep your hopes where they should be.

RIT's rate of 2:1 is many times better than Clarksons. We also have the sheer volume. 17,000 students = about 6000 girls on campus, at least. My freshman class had a 50/50 mix. As for the surrounding colleges, UR, SJF and Naz all have a share of women, but they're small, and combined they probably don't have as many as RIT does. MCC is another story altogether. The local community college houses almost 10,000 girls, all of them local, and a fair share attractive. The great part is, if you go to RIT, and you're not a complete freak, you're probably smart enough to trick them into going out/sleeping with you ("Help, my penis is on fire!"). As for the Ivy League shit, no way they admit Clarkson from East Buttfuck NY. There are the same rumblings around here, but in all reality, nothing will ever come of it, and that's fine, because I know Ivy League people (My girlfriend goes to Cornell), and I don't want to be thought of like that.

I was their last year, the sound system kinda sucks, but the fireworks are pretty cool. Plus if your lucky enough you can see Dave and the guys in the park for an hour or two before the show. Other than that, its nothing THAT great. But we all know whats great about 3 and a half hours east of their, a little thing called SPAC!!!!
