In 2001 we got this package...it was awesome, hung out and watched the Mariners/Indians game in the bar with Butch and met Fonzi after one of the shows in the bar.

The band stayed at the Best Western hotel? I guess they have to crash somewhere.

I was wondering the same thing...doesn't make much sense.

That is how they can offer packages to the warehouse. They get the whole hotel.
Before the official concert dates were announced, there was a "predicted list" posted. I checked that hotel for Labor Day weekend, and it was already totally booked so i figured the band had gotten it alreayd and the Gorge shows were definitely Labor Day weekend, so I reserved another hotel in Moses Lake. It was alot easier to find a place if you look before the shows were officially announced.
EDIT: I know when I was int he bar watchign the game, some people said Boyd was out at the pool. Saw Roi in the bar when I was talking with Fonzi. It was right after the twins were born, I don't remember anyone ever saying they saw Dave.

well, if it is the only full service hotel within a decent distance of the venue, then it makes perfect sense.
but who really knows.

Did anyone organize a shuttle of some sort to and from the shows and hotel that year? It'd be cool to have something like that this year. No need to worry about drinking and driving...

Here is the e-mail received today:
Greetings to all Gorge Warehouse ticket holders:
As a special opportunity for members, we would like to offer all Gorge ticket holders a chance to
request hotel rooms through the Warehouse.
We have reserved a limited number of rooms at the Best Western Hallmark Inn, Moses Lake, the
closest full-service hotel to the Gorge Amphitheatre, for Friday, September 3, Saturday, September 4
and Sunday, September 5, 2004. A three-day package for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights will
be offered as Series 6-2004 for the price of $360.00 plus regular convenience and handling fees.
You may request either a room with 2 Queen Beds or a room with 1 Queen Bed. Rooms with
2 Queen beds will have a 4-person maximum occupancy and Rooms with 1 Queen bed will have
a 2-person maximum occupancy. There is a limit of one room per member order only. If you
already have a confirmed order for Gorge Amphitheatre tickets, your hotel voucher will be packaged
with your concert tickets.
Due to the limited availability of these rooms, we will be qualifying the rooms on a random basis to
members that place requests. The time at which you place your request and your seniority status
will not affect your chances. When making your request, please be prepared to have all applicable
fees charged to the credit card number entered. Requests will be taken from now through Monday,
May 17, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
All members who submit information will receive an e-mail no later than Friday, May 21, 2004
confirming whether or not we were able to accommodate their request.
Camping tickets for the Gorge Amphitheatre Campground are also still available on the
Warehouse website as Instant Ticketing Series B-2004. 1-night, 2-night and *3-night camping tickets
are currently being offered. *3-night camping tickets allow early admission for Thursday night,
September 2, 2004.
See you at the Gorge!

Well, someone ought to do it. I'm sure there would be plenty of people interested. I'm going to send the WH an e-mail.

I'm just sticking with the first hotel I reserved. It is cheaper...and I am poor. :( :lol

I'm at the Super 8, from what I hear it is across the street from the Best Western. $360 is a pretty big chunk of change considering my total is under $200 now.. I think the WH is preying on all the people who missed the boat and have no reservations.

Yeah, that's a lot of money. I'm just trying to figure out if I should stay at the hotel, or camp. We're coming from MN, so I don't want to pack all my camping gear, ya know?

Hey, how are you? I am going to the Gorge this year, but where is the package on the Warehouse? I do not see it posted anywhere.
