'Episode III' Now Has a Name, Says Magazine

The final Star Wars movie (Episode III) will be titled 'Birth of the Empire', Britain's Empire magazine reported on its website today (Thursday). The publication quoted an unnamed source as saying that the highlight of the movie is a battle between Ewan McGregor, playing Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Hayden Christensen, playing Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader while maneuvering small platforms on lava as if they were surfing. Lucasfilm has not commented on the report.

Yes but Episode 3 is around 25-30 years before Ep 4 is it not? Hence Ep3 would make sense to be the "birth" as Annakin is the one that really gives the power to the Empire. The first time the Empire demonstrates it's awesome power is in Episode IV when they blow up - is it Tatooine?

Anyway it's just a name - I look forward to it. It makes me feel like a kid again, despite the fact that I, II, & IV have terrible names whilst III, V & VI are pretty cool names.

I believe that he has written, or at least has a basis for Eps 7-9, but I think there is no way in hell that he will make them. Maybe he would turn the reins over to someone else, but not likely. It would be nice to have more closure to the entire story as a whole.

Do it, do it! There is so much more enjoyment of DVD's when you add a home theatre. Ours is 5x100W JBL's with a 200W JBL Active subwoofer and a Pioneer 5x100W DTS/Dolby amplifier.

Even the DMB 1994-2001 videos are in 5.1, all the other DMB DVD's as well, music DVD's, as well as some the the very best DTS DVD's like Gladiator, Saving Private Ryan (DTS version), Jurrasic Park, Fifth Element Superbit, blah blah blah.

Once you buy it you'll wonder why you waited so long, but yes Star Wars certainly seems like a pretty good reason to make that final purchase.

Hey release the originals on DVD with a 5.1 track on them and I'll buy them, but as long as you only have them on VHS I'll take the Special Editions as movies are half sound half vision, the sound on these Special Editions blows the sound on ANY VHS tape away by a thousand fold.

ok first off this is not directed towards you but most star wars fans bitch about Episodes I & II. every saga needs a beginning and regardless of episode IV, Episode I is the beginning and it needs to introduce the characters so it was a bit talkative then usual and then Episode II comes and we all know there has to be a love story due to the birth of Luke and Leia and personally Episode II was my 2nd favorite out of the 5 and once Episode III comes i think Hayden will surpise a lot of people like i said before im just hoping it answers all the questions i have and it links III to IV... and Episode III i think will be best out of them all, i just hope im not disappointed

i don't know about the rest, but i enjoyed both Ep 1 and 2's storylines...it's the acting that buried it. that's some of the worst acting i've ever seen. ever. and jar jar sucked.
