Hate to say it but i was suprised by the new Hanson Album

Hey before I get flammed just keep an open mind. I heard a little of the new Hanson cd and I must confess they don't sound like little fags anymore. Their songwriting is actually alright and some of the songs are complex. The cool thing is that they write and produce all their music. Anyway I just wanted to post what i was feeling. Hanson are'nt little boys who look like girls anymore. Some of the album kinda had a trippy sound to it. I hate to say it but i think hanson might actually be real musicians now. I mean they have been playing and writing since they were 10 and they played in from of some of the biggest venues in the world. So they it shouldn't be a surprise that since they are now in their early 20's and late teens that they are talented. Anyway your thoughts. LOL

I'm gonna go out on a limb and stick up for this guy... although I wouldn't have ever posted this in dmbc, the guys in Hanson are actually pretty talented and have a bad rap that they work hard to get over. If people gave them a chance and forgot about a song they wrote 8 years ago they might be surprised.

Well if Hanson has gotten better than that's pretty cool even though most people here would never admit it. I just hope they're voices aren't so high anymore. I don't think I could even concentrate on the music if the lead singers voice is still so high.

Bubblegum Pop makes my head hurt. Uninspired lyrics, catchy hook and chorus, radio overplay=Crap. Hanson is(was) a one hit wonder that will forever be associated with Mmm Bop. Are they famous for a great album, a string of albums, a multi-year international tour? NO. They are Mmm Bop. Period.
Therefore, Hanson Blows.

:thumbsup I like this album A LOT. I am a fan of a lot of pop music, so I had to give this album a try. Quite a few very good songs. Dancing in The Wind, Penny & Me, Hey, Crazy Beautiful (my favorite), and Lost Without Each Other. It's good upbeat pop, nothing wrong with that. :thumbsup

i checked it out just recently after reading this thread a while back.. gotta say, i was very shocked with their new stuff. its a shame that they will be forever tagged as the guys that sang Mmmbop and that most people wont ever give them a serious chance. anyway, i thought the album was pretty good, and certainly a HUGE improvement

I really like the new album too. A few months back they did a small acoustic show here in Louisville and they did a great job with their new songs just on acoustic guitars. I can't wait to see them here for the state fair with the whole band.

2) They need to stop. They're teeny boppers, they've always been. The middle one Taylor got married and had a baby in October 2002. Halloween actually, I know this because I was once a fan. Then due to that and Taylor having a "breakdown" of some sort the recording was delayed... and delayed and delayed. They worked on taht thing for years. I may get it eventually though. Christmas maybe.

dmbc, huh? this is insanity. why. just why. i've been seeing this thread for a couple days now, and thinking to myself--oh, wow, someone will realize when they read the TITLE that its not dmbc, and i'll never have to see it again--i guess that was stupid of me. funny, it's not only in dmbc, but its in tour discussion. i'm so confused.

and as for hanson, i'm sorry you like their new stuff, maybe we can keep you from getting into avril lavigne though, maybe its not too late.
