Of course we have a really great article right there on the front page (http://antsmarching.org/columns/column.php?columnid=13) but, I figured we could also use a thread where we also offer our own advice.

So, I'll start it off:

Get some leak proof waterbottles and freeze up a sugary beverage and/or some water the night before. A good type of water bottle is to use those Nalgene type bottles all those fancy college kids got. After you get out of a show, and sometimes need to drive or don't want a hangover the next day, the beverage will be melted, but still pretty darn cold.(I know I am ALWAYS thirsty after a show!) I find having both water and some type of sugary beverage helps. The sugar will give you a little energy and probably help keep you awake for that drive home, while the water will sober you up and replenish all the water you lost dancing your ass off.

Stay hydrated people. You may have a few(or many) before the show or during the show, but you need to stay hydrated or you are going to be hurting either during the show or after the show. Also, don't drink so much that you are an ass at the show.:)

:thumbsup Good tips thanks. Having extra food for after the show to eat while waiting in traffic always helps me out. I am usually starving by then.

Don't get dehydrated in the pit at SPAC. It is NOT fun. You have to climb stairs and then walk through the crowd up the lawn . I know from experience :lol

Chase down that alcohol with some water :thumbsup
