im leaving for the roo in 3 days, and was wandering if anyone has heard of D+F getting together to practice for the roo... since there set is 3hrs, im sure their having to put together some new cover tunes for the gig?
also im sure DMB is having to get everything tight for the upcoming tour,
but i didnt know if anyone has heard anything of D+F band practice?
if your going to the roo, have a BLAST... its the greatest place in the world. and please pick up your trash!!! its such a beautiful field!!!
enjoy!

You sure you couldn't squeeze "the roo" into this post 5 or so more times? :lol ;)

i would guess yes...
but don't forget that dave and tim COULD do a set as part of the larger set, which would make it close to the 3 hour mark i believe.

true, assuming that d+t play to 80,000 + people...
i figured it would be too mellow, if d+t come out and open the set like they were doing for d+f... people may not get into it, considering its the 1st night of the roo... im sure everyone is expecting something rocking to open the show... like "spanish moon" or "SUAD"
just my opinion?

dave and tim were supposed to play bonarroo NE last year, so i wouldn't put it past them at all.

But I don't know if Dave and Tim would be a mainstage act. Certainly a tent act though, if it was just the two of them.
However, I think there is a pretty good chance that Dave and Tim will open the set, take a break, and bring the full DM+F Band out after that, like all the shows from this past winter tour.

then maybe play a D+F song w/ Mr. Warren Haynes!

i would not guess dave and tim to do a set. i would guess there to be a hell of alot of covers, jamming and im sure warren on a fourth guitar. along with other guests that trey brings out. i wouldnt expect them to play many some devil tunes and no way dave and tim.

I definitely think Dave & Tim are going to open it up. They played almost the whole Some Devil album every night of the winter tour. As long as Dave is on stage most of us wont care if its pumped up or not. 7 D&T songs wont be a downer.

I agree that Dave and Tim will definately play. They did it at all the stadium shows....why not Bonnaroo? The demand for Dave and Tim will allow them to play on the main stage to a more than satisfied audience. See ya' there!

i'm sure trey practiced with them. hours and hours and hours on end. if he didn't, he might have been in rehab, but for sure he definitely wasn't practicing with his real band.
