Dear Warehouse Member:
You will note that you have been assigned tickets to the Warehouse Preferred lawn section. The area
will be situated in a prime location on the lawn to afford a better view of the stage or the video screens,
with improved sound enhancement in many cases. The Warehouse Preferred lawn area will be
accessible from the time that the venue doors open until half way through the intermission prior
to Dave Matthews Band taking the stage.
When you pass through the entrance to the venue please go straight to the special table located
under a red Warehouse tent that is set up to distribute wristbands for the Warehouse Preferred lawn
area. One wristband will be issued for each Warehouse Preferred lawn ticket only. If you remove
or lose your wristband you will not be able to get a replacement.
For safety reasons, just before the Dave Matthews Band show begins, the ropes securing the area
will be removed and the security staff will no longer be manning the area and access will no longer
be restricted to Warehouse Preferred ticket holders. We encourage members with Warehouse
Preferred lawn tickets to arrive early to secure their places and enjoy the support acts. There is no
restriction placed on occupancy of this area once the ropes have been taken down.
We hope you enjoy the Warehouse Preferred lawn section!

Basically they are telling you that once the rope goes down , be ready to get crammed against the fence .

i dont like the idea period. i think lawn should be open to everyone. i was a warehouse member so i am not really biased. i love the opportunities for early seats and tickets.
yet, I have a ticket for lawn one night and if i am one of the first to get there, i will be pissed if all center, front or what not is roped off.

the option for warehouse preferred lawn defeats the main purpose of the Warehouse to me. I became a member of the Warehouse to get the best seats possible under the pavillion. seeing a dave matthews band show on the lawn has never been an option I have chosen to do since my first show in the 3rd row. i guess the lawn makes some people happy.

Basically it's just going to turn into a big, roped off clusterfuck where groups of people will send in the two WH members that got the preferred tickets to blanket-out this big section and then as soon as the ropes come down the 15 people that they brought with them will stampede the area. Sounds like a great idea WH! :thumbsup

But the WH has grown to the point where they can't fill all the orders with pavilion seats. At least they're trying. They're basically saying, sorry we had to put you on the lawn, but here's an attempt to make your experience on the lawn better.
I wonder what the reaction will be at Alpine when a bunch of fans come running down the big hill, only to notice that the seats they want are roped off.
Like other posts, I do expect there to be a crazy stampede once the ropes come down. Hopefully nothing stupid happens at any show this summer.

I would rather stand 15 feet back from the front of the lawn instead of getting smushed. And at SPAC the VERY front of the lawn is flat ... you're better off not in the WH preffered . Incline is key - I hate looking at the back of someone's head.

Nothing like seperating the people, then taking down the barriers. :lol It will look like something from Gangs of New York.

a fucking possum could think of a better idea of allocating tickets than the warehouse "preferred lawn". it's basically like "we're not gonna give you pavilion seats, but we'll give you a "special" place on the lawn, like that's some sort of consolation. it's basically still warehouse screwing you in the ass, only giving you a courtesy reach-around this time.

So actually it is a nice thing they did for people who chose 'best available' meaning they didnt mind getting lawn. If you feel you are getting screwed in the ass by getting lawn seats, than chose 'Reserved" and you will never feel the pain of your own fist in your.... i mean the warehouse screwing you in the ass ever again.

A lot fo negativity toward the concept prior to the tour. Now that a few shows have come and gone, what's the consensus?

If u rather go with 10 of your friends the lawn is the only way to go, and for me I know i will have a blast as long as im there no matter what.

it works fine. it's set up about 10 feet from the front of the lawn, about a 50'x50' square. they take the fence down after the opening band...then other people come in the area, but at least you get a good spot.

I'm interested to see where the preferred viewing is . . . but just because I have preferred viewing tix, doesn't mean I'm gonna use them. unless, of course, if we're given a distinct advantage over the rest of you undeserving fans!

it's right in front of the stage, right down front of the lawn. you might as well use them. is there better seat than front center?

this is definatly the dumbest idea ever. you get into the "area" and then eventually take it down. we sat right behind it at star lake and when they took the fence down, we just moved up to where everyone in the "area" was and probably got better seats than half of the people in there to begin w/.
