First off ... I'm new to the boards so, hey! Now to business. I had a very minute chance of getting to go to see DMB and the UMB Bank Pavilion in St, Louis w/ a group of friends but now that's looking pretty unlikely that it will happen. It seems like everytime I have a chance to see a DMB show something always comes up and well ... I decided to take matters into my own hands and look up some venues that were reasonably close to where I live (Oklahoma City). The closest venue is the Verizon Wireless Ampitheater in Bonner Springs, KS (about 5 hours). My other two options are the Verizon Wireless Ampitheater in Selma, TX and the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Woodlands, TX (both about 7 hours). I really would like to go to one of the Texas shows just b/c I've heard great things about them, but it's looking like I might have to settle for Bonner just b/c I start school on the 23rd and well ... going somewhere closer and earlier will make things a little bit less chaotic. Which venue would you suggest for reasons other than travel time (sound quality, crowds, stuff like that)? Any help would be great. Thanks a bunch!! ~*Blair*~

Woodlands is a great place to catch a show! And its a 2 night stand(on the weekend). The band usually plays solid shows at the Woodlands. I'll be at all 3 TX shows and StL.

If you're only gonna do 1 show, though, stay local.

I'd probably make a crack here about how you'd have to be crazy to want to go to Texas, even for DMB, but considering you're already in Oklahoma it might be an improvement.

I'm joking. Welcome to Ants.

Bonner Springs is a pretty nice venue from what I've heard and if it's closer and more convenient then that's probably your best bet. Good luck getting to a show. You won't ever forget your first time.

i would choose woodlands over selma anyday. The crowd in Selma IMO usually isn't that great. It's still a great show, but nothing compared to The Woodlands. The Woodlands is a much better atmosphere I think, and it's a 2 night stand.

The Woodlands is a better venue then Selma, but for some reason it seems like the band likes Selma a lot. The past few years we have seen some really solid show (JTR, 40 etc) I will be attending all three in Texas, and I'm excited for my first two night stand. Like what was said earlier, if you're only going to one stay close, but the Woodlands is a very cool expierience
