A sincere thank you goes to DMB management, who came over and told the head of Tweeter
Management to fuck off (he said it nicer than that) when he tried to stop me from taping
due to his own ignorance. A "thanks, but no thanks" goes out to the man who stood next
to me, who offered to show me his wife's breasts against her will. A shoutout goes to
Alan for wanting me to give him a shoutout. Happy Birthday Chris! Sorry I missed ya!

sorry about the sep. thread on the 7-21 shows....
anyway, Grossman's source bothers me for one reason; Crush's track begins with "crazy...." the ENTIRE intro is cut right up to where the vocals come in. I know usually its just the bass intro but even the guitar is in the intro...
I just got thoma's and his is pretty decent, either one i cant hear the FOnzi tease however

Sorry about that guys... someone gave me the idea to do it like that, and I'm regretting it... I got a lot of crap about it, so I won't do it again, as obviously nobody really likes it that way.
I'd retrack it, but that would just cause confusiong amongst the sources at this point. SOrry guys, won't do it again.

I don't think anyone was able to get very close for this show. Thoma was back further and off to the side as compared to 7/20. There was a taper who was in front of the stack, about 6 rows back on Roi's side. I spoke to him briefly and thanked him for taping. We introduced ourselves to each other and I didn't recognize his name. He said that his tapes aren't up for download anywhere. He just gives copies to college kids is what he told me.

I was close to that guy too, didn't talk to him though. I don't know if his tape would be that great either. He was sitting next to three meathead girls who screamed all night long (and not in a good way).
Dave, I'm loving your 7/20 tape, sounds wonderful. :)

I'm getting it now too, and I got a few tracks and it sounds awesome, just like all of Naylor's other tapes. Good stuff! This is the best source of this show to me.

How's his compared to Thoma's?
Better. Thoma's hat a bit of an echo sound to it. He was back a little bit and off to the side. If you listen to Thoma's night 1 and night 2, there is a clear difference. Naylor's night 2 is similar in quality to Thoma's night 1.
Thanks to Eric Naylor and Dave Thoma for providing the community with these tapes. I hope that comparing the 2 copies does not offend anyone. My intent is certainly not to be offensive or ingrateful in anyway.
