with an eric naylor recording coming out, its worth that wait i think. all the tapers do a great job though. these tapes are coming out fast this year its hard to keep up. :thumbsup

question..... after we download them, how should we get them on cd without loosing good sound? i usually use mkw to convert the files then burn them, am i loosing sound by doing this?

also, what is a flac file? i'm useto the shnf's?

no you are not losing anything if you convert to wav and burn an audio cd.

another tool. download the flac installer, goto http://wiki.etree.org and the 'software needed' section

if you are on windows you can download mike wren's flac installer and that should install the winamp plugin to be able to play flac files in winamp

oh my god....... please somebody help me, i'll dl the flacs from the links at the beginning of this forum. they only take like a second? is it suppose to be that fast? but anyways then when i try to use them i get errors in winamp and in flac frontend.
please help me

to burn flacs for an audio cd: convert to wav
to burn flacs for a data cd: just burn as data cd

also having problems with the flac files. i got the downloader like u said, when i drag n drop them into the flac frontend interface, the dos window comes up and theres an error when it tries to decode ot change the flac to wav. the error message reads

5:FLAC_STREAM_DECODER_ABORTED

no clue why. i am following the directions on the page above, still not working. i have winamp and it wont play the files saying some other message, but i think im not that far yet lol.

sry bout all the trouble with this, its alot more complicated than the shn, and i promised a bunch of my friends the show for em on cd so i really want to figure this out and not let them down, and cuz i wanna experience this show again lol.

awww lol it hasnt finished dl'ing yet. when i get a how from the ants dl'er i can convert as the songs finish downloading. so i have to wait for it to finish, then do all the decoding correct?

ok so this is what you do, cuz idk where u guys r im just gonna tell u wat i did. follo this...

1) download the bit torrent client, which is the downloader that is going to dl the show for u. get that here (just click the link) --> http://mediahost.inetsalestech.com/shadow/BitTornado-0.3.7-w32install.exe

2) install that to our comp

3) click on one of the shows above, just to help u out here they r http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=5995 and the other http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=5996

4) maldini, this is wat is goin wit u. save that file above somewhere. now once thats finished, go to where you saved the file and click it. BT should automatically come up and start downloading the file.

5) let the file finish downloading. now you have to get another tool. just think of this as mkw for FLAC files, you have to download this tool here --> http://cyberial.com/flacinstaller.asp

6) now, once the files are all done, open the flac frontend, and drag all the files to the window (just like mkw, self expalnatory). once those are all in the window, click decode. the files should be converted to wav now, and should be able to be listened to and put onto a cd without loosing quality or watev.

so thats wat i got, if im wrong or sai something that was wayy off plz tell me, i dont want ppl doin stuff thats wrong cuz of me. got ne questions, im me philly d 12321 and check out my dmb website, its pretty kickass http://dmbbar10der.tripod.com

ok i got a question....i downloaded the torrent for 7/13/04....i downloaded some antsmarchingv2.0 or something...i downloaded a flac file frontend..apparently i converted them to wavs...which still wont play on my windows media player...any ideas? cause im confused and stupid :BANG

I downloaded the eric nailer source from the server here at ants and let me say what an amazing recording. It sounds absolutly perfect i would say it even sounds like an official release. Not to mention i thought this show was great because i was there but i gained a greater appreciation after listening to it once i got it on cd.

I would like to thank eric for letting the community have such a great recording and as that goes all the recordings he has done. He does a great job. Thank you eric.
