-Dave managed to break 4 strings tonight, which can be heard in a few songs.
-Some bass distortion can be heard in a few loud parts, which is due to the close proximity of the bass stacks to the mics.

I only saw him on night one. I was looking for others but saw none. He was right in front of the Right hand side stacks about 10 or so rows back. I am getting it now, and will let you know, but I will take anything I can get, and really appreciate that someone took the time and effort, and got it up this quickly for us to enjoy, thanks again.

it sounds great Brian....I haven't listened to Adam's yet to compare but I like what I hear from yours:cool:
I have a mic config question:
What is the difference between A-B, X-Y, DIN, FOB, OTRF and all those other terms? I see this all the time and have no idea what all that stands for. :lol
thanks

A lot of times they won't be tapers who distribute through our communities. I know I sat near a taper on 7-7 named Bob...he said that he hadn't done a DMB show since 1999. A lot of people go to many different bands and tape every show they can as a hobby....they may not be into DMB as much as we are.

Thanks for putting it out so quickly, I had it to listen to on the way up for day two. The only distortion i really noticed was at the begining of I Did It, but the show sound great. Thanks again.

Here are some mic configs:
A-B: Mics pointed straight ahead, about 40-60 cm spaced apart
X-Y: Mics at a 90 degree angle from each other (i.e. top mic cap facing left, bottom one 90 degrees right from that), used for a more stereo sound to eliminate some low-end sometimes
DIN: Mics spaced about 60cm apart, 45 degrees angled out from each other
There are some other ones, AB, DIN, and X-Y (ORTF) are pretty much the common ones :)

I taped my buddies band on Saturday and used a X-Y mic config and was pretty happy with the results:)

I am looking to see if people have any suggestions on which show to grab. I am looking for a recording of the show that has the fullest sound.
Thanks for any and all input

When it does, it does.
But damn, we've got three high-quality 7/6 to listen to. My personal fave is the Furbush, despite some of the bass distortion.
