I'm a big critic of JD, and I have no confidence in him at all when he's up to bat, but I do think he'll straighten out in his sophomore year in Boston the way Beckett did....


On the other hand, Crisp and Lugo just plain suck. They don't know how to handle an AB, and they rarely even have productive outs. They give too much breathing time to pitchers while occupying the bottom half of the order...

Remember when we had Bellhorn down there drawing walks and making pitchers work? We really took that for granted, cause now with Crisp and Lugo down there, the pitcher only has to throw 4 pitches to get 2 easy fucking outs.

Ellsbury needs to be in center, and hopefully Jed Lowry isn't too far away and can move from 2B to SS... then we'll have a terrific up the middle for years....

the biggest problem that i have with drew is that he's deceiving with his numbers. he puts up 'numbers' without changing the game

i think his OPS is the same as is OBP going into the game

the hits he does get are mainly in garbage time and little bloop hits with nobody on in the 7th

i don't know... not sold on the guy. maybe he'll come around next year (hell...he has 4 more years with the team anyway, might as well get used to him)
