As down as I was on the team 3 weeks ago, I'm that excited now. Almost everyone is healthy and the schedule is finally in our favor.

I think we sweep the Rays this week and even if they sweep us next week (which I don't think they will), we will still be in first place. All our games at home (with a healthy team) and all their games on the road this month is going to make the difference.

Lester, Dice-K, Beckett is going to be a nice 1-2-3 combo in the playoffs.

I was a White Sox fan when I was real young just because Frank Thomas was my favorite player when I was growing up. Now I hate the White Sox! Then I started to like the Red Sox a lot more and it helped my dad always watched the games. So there ya go...one more towards Red Sox Nation. :)

The Packers is very impressive considering it has dated back to 1965. And yes Green Bay is small, but the Packers are THE show in the state and people come from all over Wisconsin on game day.

However, there are only 8 NFL games in a season and they are all on Sunday, when a lot of people should be able to get there. There are 81 home baseball games, on every day of the week, making it very extremely impressive that the Sox have done it for 7 years.

So, I went to see NKOTB this weekend (fuck yeah!) at the Garden on Sunday. My mom, sister, aunt and I do some pub crawling...starting with Boston Beer Works, followed by some sports bar, and we and end up at Four's on Canal street.

We wanna watch the Sox game and have some beers. So we go to the bar upstairs (downstairs was crowded), find a spot at the bar and order a round. The sox game is on (there were five TVs......TV 1 had MN/Tenn football, TV 2 had Jets/Arizona TV 3 had the Sox, TV 4 had Jets Arizona and TV 5 had MN/Tenn) one of the five TVs. Suddenly, some MN fans ask for TV 3 to be changed from the Sox to the MN/Tenn game because they can't hear it.

I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure you can see wtf is going on by watching. I don't need sound when I'm watching football. Actual convo with the bartender:

Me: You're not changing the Sox game, are you?
Bartender: Yes, honey bunch, I am.
Me: Why?
Bartender: Because these guys wanna watch the Minnesota game.
Me: You mean the game that is on two other TVs?

I haven't cried tears of joy since the Cubs beat the Braves in 2003.
