I've always liked the idea of closing with LIOG and end it where it stops for the pause, then picks up again after the encore break from there.

Or, like LIOG -> another song -> end of LIOG

Playing 5 new songs is experimenting, but i see what you are saying. Its prob tough trying to learn all new songs for a cd, and bust out rare songs and everything. They will experiment more as the tour goes on, i dont think its going to remain as predictable as it has been some nights.

Right on. Give 'em time to get truly comfortable with the new songs, and we'll start seeing the rarer ones come out.

You can tell this is the case, because they've played the new songs every night and are slowly bringing back other songs. First it was BOWA, then Nancies, now Two Step and STJL. There will definitely be more to come when they get more comfortable with the new stuff. (Plus I also think they are just playing songs that they like and want to play right now. It really seems like they are having a blast up on stage.)
