Saw Keller open for Dark Star Orchestra at Deer Creek the day after the dMb shows and he was AMAZING. I was really really impressed with the talent and stage presence this guy has. Did a really nice cover of Tripping Billies as well....... "Eat, Drink and Be Hairy..... HILLARIOUS. To see this man guest on a Jimi would be the ultimate jam/scat.

good luck wishing that.. keller plays the most erratic improv sets ever. he has tons of staple tunes but then tons of on-the-fly covers and shit you'll never hear him play again. on his site though, keller says if you want to hear a song, gently place a piece of paper on the stage with the name written down. i thought that was cool.

i wasn't very impressed. he wasn't bad or anything, just too repetitive for me. throw one or two more guys up there, and it could have been better.

keller opening for dmb at starlake finalized my decision to go to that show and it was flipping awesome. keller played for like an hour. played a real decent set. then dmb rocked the house.

Keller was on fire last night. I dont know many of his songs so some was a new experience for me. He opened with Dave with Watchtower then just jammed for abot 5 minutes after that. Next he did a song about being a dog and letting someone be his master but Im not sure of the title. I went to grab some stuff so I missed the next bit but around 7:40ish he finished his set with Celebrate Your Youth. Really entertaining, I was just as excited to see him as I was DMB.

he was SO good -- talented and with a great sense of humor. i caught him 1 and a half times at starlake and i'd go out to a show of his own after seeing him there.

He opened at blossom covering Eyes of the World by the Dead. Then he did a song about the Price is Right somewhere in that set. Very impressive & funny!

I was shocked and amazed when he and Dave opened up with Watchtower in Toronto but I wasnt impressed with the song itself. Some notable songs and covers include Freaker by the Speaker, Boob Job, Freakshow....
Check him out.

Perhaps I am the only one, but I thought he was horrid. He has the musical technical skill, but he just didn't appeal to me. :(

To each his own, but I happen to think his music kicks ass.

Ya i saw about half a dozen tapers at the Toronto show but they were all setting up during the Keller set. Really disapointing as Id really love to hear Dave and Keller do Watchtower again.
