This happened last night (6-26) on the way to pick up my friend to go to Post-Gazette. I was in the "zone". Probably just too excited for the concert. I dunno. I just felt invinsible. I was blasting #41 and thinking about how sweet it would be if they played it at the concert. I ran into the guy in front of me. It was completely my fault. After the crash, all I could think of was how I was going to get to the concert (obviously after I was sure no one was hurt).

I just got my lisense 3 months ago. It was probably because of not being experienced enough, or it could have been I was distracted by the music. It all worked out ok though because my dad came and picked me and my friend up and took me to the concert and we made it just in time (I wouldnt want to miss Best of Whats Around).

Just thought I'd share. I don't know if anyone really cares or not.

My first car accident... Whole Lotta Love by Led Zep. came on my radio, I looked down to turn it up and crashed into the curb.
2nd car accident... Some a-hole stomped on the brakes on the freeway (road rage) and a car smashed into me from behind.
3rd car accident... I was 'zoning' (read: head bangin') to AC/DC's Back in Black and came around a corner to find a car stopped in the road. I took the ditch and almost rolled.

^^^^All those took place before I was 17!!!

My advice is to drive like a granny because it's amazing what a second can do! <bad pun

I have got into one accident in the past 11 years and I was listening to NFL that time. I wish I could blame DMB for one of them.

I can honestly say I've never had music get me into an accident or a near accident. And I always have my CD player cranked way up.

When I was 16, I totaled my parents' new car due to Paradise City - Guns n' Roses. :( I'm glad you're okay.

First night I had my license (read: like 5 nights ago) my friend and I went out joyriding and met up with a few other people, and he puts on Ants, really loud. Instant drumming on the steering wheel and 10 miles over the speed limit :D Luckily I didn't get pulled over, but it just shows how you need to pay attention.

Ouch... that's gotta hurt on the insurance (for those of you just driving - I'm sure your parents are thrilled :) ) Glad to hear everyone was okay.

I was backing out of my spot with dmb blasting from the cd player...and I backed into some chick's infiniti. But I refuse to take full responsibility because she was totally speeding down the driveway. Nonetheless, I always open my window now in parking lots now...

It's good to see I'm not the only one in the world that gets into a car accident.

Yea, haha, So Damn Lucky would have been appropriate.

And, no, I wasn't high.

A car backed into me while listening to some dmb song, cant remember what it was, probably because I was high at the time. It was a weird experience though, I was really high and had to talk to the old lady for like 20 mins and then talk to a police officer.

Haha one time me and my cousin were listening to ACDC "Back In Black" and he rear ended someone cuz we were like headbanging and joking around. I got in a car accident once cuz I used to have a megaphone in my car and we would yell out the windows and stuff with it and the person I was with in my passenger seat was sayin something to someone and I looked up and rear ended someone.

I can feel your pain.. I was on a road trip and just pulled over.. I think i got the biggest slurpie ever and when going down the road, the cup slips out my hand and falls on my lap and on the floor... that sucked... :violent

If I do have a collision, chances are good it'll be DMB on the system, since I listen to it most of the time.

I once had a NEAR accident. Not DMB related though. I was driving home from a party (had 3 beers, tops in the span of 5 hours), but was in a "think", and listening to Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd. Next thing I know, I'm almost up the ass of a cop with a yellow arrow sign pointing to the next lane on the top of his car. Hit the brakes hard and chose to swerve to the guard-rail. Thankfully I only screwed up the wheel alignment of my car. Well, maybe not. I may have screwed up the cop for life. He actually saw me bearing down on him through the rearview mirror, and was very, very pale and shaken up when he came to ask WTF that had been all about.

I hope you made it shallow so little Mikey could feel the rain :hug

I've never been in a car accident, but the closest I came to getting it one was on the way to see DMB at SPAC in 2001. I was playing with the cd player and good thing one of my friends was watching the road because he saved me from driving us off the road going about 70. And no, I wasn't high, just maybe a contact buzz.

:lol nothing happened to it, don't worry. my car got a square crack b/c i hit the trailer hitch, but the jeep drove away undamaged.
