my first show was 7/27/01 i was 16. its a funny story too. My brother,one of our friends, and i all used to work a pool as a lifeguard. we all had work the day of the concert which sucked alot because in years past they had to close the pool because all the guards went to dave. But this year our boos said that if he could go (he didnt have a ticket) then none of use could go. I got of at 5 so i could go to the concert but i was going with my brother and our friend and they werent getting off till 8. So we came up with a plan since our boss wouldnt let them off early. This probably sounds kinda bad but we think it was the right thing to do. We got the 4th person we were going with to call the pool and ask to speak to our boss. he told our boss that he didnt know who to tell but he had just gotten off the phone with our friends mom and his grandmother had fallen and broken her hip. he also said that our friend and his grandmother were very close. he said that she was going to be ok but had asked for our friend to come to the hospital. then to get my brother off our friend said that he was to emotional and could drive and asked my brother to drive him. our boss felt sorry for him so let my brother off too. so we went to the concert and had an awesome time. we still look back on it and laugh about this every once in awhile
