I've heard that his voice has been holding up very well so far.

its been good so far. ive noticed that he stays away from songs like WYA, Last Stop, DDTW (only once) Watchtower, etc.. that requires him to yell. hes playing safe songs. the only time ive heard it scratchy was during "Thing" on i think 6/27 or 6/28. thats the only time.

what do you mean everything worked out? i was unaware there was a problem.

there was some interview w/"callie?" and stefan kinda sounded like he was unhappy about d&f. maybe "worked out" was the wrong words, but a few months ago, people were talking like stefan was unhappy or something. i dont mean to start any rumors. sorry if that was taken the wrong way.

yeah. thats been beaten. he just gave his opinion of the tour and said he didnt know why they called it Dave and FRIENDS tour, implying that the real band arent his friends. people blew it way out of proportion. i dont think it was anyhting at all.

a) dave's voice sounds really good

b) fonzie is fine... listen to the entire interview. while there are some remarks that are kind of troubling at first, fonz goes on to explain that he is the brat of the group and sometimes he just likes to kick at the air for no reason

i hope his voice lasts till aug. i've been looking over the set lists and since i've only been to 2 shows, it looks like i'll get to see a lot of songs that i haven't seen yet!!! :bounce

Dave's voice sounds so crisp right now, I can't possibly bear to listen to any of the new Gorge set. Apples and Oranges Worthless to me. Alot less screaming in songs this year kinda helps.... call me crazy, but the overabundance of Bartender in the past could not have been good on the chords.

I almost enjoy the concerts more when his voice is going because he whales the high notes. I went to the 9/30/03 Atlanta show last year and heard the best version of DDTW ever. He screamed every high note and went off in the end...friggin awesome. I also enjoy the screams in Bartender and Watchtower....gets the crowd going. IMO

I disagree that Dave is saving his voice by playing songs that are "easy" on his vocal chords. Sure, we haven't seen WYA or Watchtower, but the shows I have seen still featured tons of his classic yells. Hello Again, which is obviously played every night, has A LOT of yelling, and Joy Ride has a section of intense vocals too. His scats on Jimi have a lot of yells and intense vocals, as do songs like Help Myself, Stay, IIHIA, Too Much, DDTW, and Rhyme, which are getting lots of play.

But to answer the thread, Dave's voice sounds as good as ever, and the band looks as happy and energetic as I have ever seen them.
