I just bought a Dual Layer DVD Burner that burns +/-. I don't know the difference between + and -, but I know that Dual Layer media is not yet available. I also don't know which brands are good for CD and DVD media. I buy Sony CD-R's because I know the Sony name. Which DVD's are best? I will hear that one brand is good, but then the same thing is bad if it is a special edition or something.... I don't know.... Either way... can you guys help me out?? Is + or - better?? What is the difference??

Thanks...

I use Ritek G04 (which are -R). I've burned hundreds, if not thousands, at 4x without any problems reading or writing. I buy from meritline.com, but they're available all over the web. And they keep getting cheaper - I ordered 100 today for $60 shipped. Check out dvdrhelp.com for info & reviews on all the brands.

Media Codes, not the brands, are what matters.

All the Memorex's and Fuji's I've bought have been ricohjpn's. Memorex uses CMC also so check before you burn.
