It is quite funny to me when people drink to the point that they aren't quite sure how much they had. I was arguing with my boyfriend about how many shots he had the other night in addition to his glass of wine. He insisted 3 but it was 5, because I was watching! It didn't phase him much... well it must have a little because he told our roommate, who is a dance instructor, that I want us to learn to dance for our wedding, and he hates to dance. I figure 50% because he loves me and 50% because he was intoxicated. :lol But our roommates girlfriend drank everything that my boyfriend did and was totally gone. She was so cute, til she got to that phase of drunkeness where you get depressed and bawl for no reason. It was her first time drinking that much. I was a little mad at my man for encouraging her! :lol

At my previous employer (worldwide company), we had a huge training session in Chicago. There were people there from Europe and they thought we were strange for not drinking during the day or right after work. Just kind of odd how perceptions on that are different throughout the world.

Yeah, that definitely limits my time, which is why I say "one of these days." I started learning for about 3 months prior to getting married. I didn't learn much, but I did learn how to play Ben Harper - Burn One Down and Bob Marley - Redemption Song. I can still rattle those off when I pickup a 6 string. Never learned any DMB though.

I've been playing the DMB for 2 or 3 years now. Right now I only have an accoustic so that's what I do. I pick a DMB song, learn it, and play it over and over and over until I can do it without thinking about it. I'm learning Grace is Gone right now and that's giving me a little trouble.

Funny thing is, I never get tired of DMB. Every other band I've ever listened to, eventually I have to take a break. But so far, so good. It's like the more DMB I hear, the more I like it.

btw, you were right about Cortez. It is a Neil Young original.

Yeah, same for me. I've been listening to DMB non-stop for quite a while now. Never gets old. I throw some O.A.R. and Jason Mraz in every now and then to mix it up, but it's been mainly DMB for the past few months.

Settle down man...the 6 disc Gorge set is available through davematthewsband.com. I saw it on there a little while ago. Goes for about $60. I definitely want it, but haven't been willing to caugh up the 60 bones for it yet. It's the entire 3 night performance from last year's Gorge run.
