Before I leave work for the weekend I thought I would post a random thought. I wasn't sure where to put it without feeling the wrath of the DMBc's so here it is take it for what it's worth.


We are member's of this DMB community because we are fans of the band. We spend time here and have become friends atleast to a point...Chels was called during the first "Time of the season" in STL, because I knew that she would appreciate it atleast somewhat. I enjoy my conversations with the others in this thread and in many others.
Mama did me a solid and I'm working on a way of getting one done for her.
This brings me to my point, it all has to do with Red Rocks. I'm planning on being there as are my two best friends. The problem is that they have no tickets. I have been keeping a close watch on the ticket thread and I continually see people with 6 post clamoring for tickets and argueing about who was first to which thread for tickets.
I don't know, it makes me a little sad that these people are using our little community to cash in on the concert and then most will be gone and we will not hear from them again till there is another big show that they want seats for.
I have all the time in the world to be on here, the comfort of my job in front of this computer. I understand that all do not share that luxury. I don't know I've had a bad day, these are my thoughts on this matter, take them for what you will.

Unfortunately, huge events, like Red Rocks, attract shithead people to our community, and, in turn, we have to deal with then. I wish I could get you and your buddies tickets. I'm sure your friends are cool as hell, and a friend of Jer's is a friend of mine :) If I do hear of any ticket opportunities, I WILL BE SURE to let you know of them. For better of worse, it's the time of the season for DMB. For me, this means stepping over my own mother for tickets (not literally, of course - I love Mama J!).

Tell me about it Chels. I'm not depressed, but very upset that more people, who I though were close to me, didn't go to bat for me. Especially my OIC. He's from NH. I'm from RI. Plus I got offered really sweet Diamondbacks tix and everyone who has been bitching about getting tix to a game wouldnt go. So I was just not in the mood for anything.

I'd been reading your posts in the HRT. It sounds like you're going out on a limb here moving in with a girl. I probably would've done the same thing had I been in your shoes.

Oh man Oregon's beautiful. I hope you had an awesome time dude! I would love to live up there or WA for a few years at some point. Really cool, chill people all over that state. I've been told that I'm perfect for Eugene. Yeah, I totally am going out on a limb with that girl, but I have hope (which, hopefully, doesn't translate into hopelessness over time) that this will work out. It's kind of like a huge gamble. The fact that I have long hair and they don't like that and the fact that since we can't wear shorts, per dress code, I told someone I was going to turn a pair on my shorts into a skirt and wear it to work, they didn't like that, they threatened me with a sexual harrasment suit if I did it.

I hope to not offend anyone by this statement and if I do you have my sincerest apologies, but the upper management at my place of business are Mormons. We are the Manhattan, KS branch of a worldwide company that is based out of California but the real decisions seem to be made in Utah.

Long hair is allowed, but with my hair and my personality, it rubs management the wrong way while my co-workers love the random things I can do. I have a great white fro, see my picture on myspace to get a look at it months ago. I can also rock a sumop top not, and hilarious pig tails.

I am also frowned upon because of the Jam Band propaganda that used to clutter the walls of my cubicle as well as the clothes I like to wear. To get around the no t-shirt policy, I sometimes wear a tye dye shirt, Grateful dead, DMB, etc with the top two pieces in a 3 piece suit.
