When I was at the HDC show, there was this rather unsavory group of frat boys sitting next to me. Their "leader" was the "DMB know-it-all" and when Two Step came on, he kept raving about how rare that was...I'm like, "Right, and you're a complete fucking moron." Some crowds suck. While both HDC crowds did suck, I had a GREAT TIME and the sets were great.

It's one of those things that happens. She had different ideas about what she wanted out of me. She didn't like the fact that I was there for her. It's something that I have found common as I have gotten older.

She wanted me to be a person that I did not know how to be. I know that at some point I will find someone who appreciates the things that I do and I refused to change them for her.

She just wasn't the one for me.....

Ahh yes. I remember that. I got into DMB because I was at some Christian summer camp way back when and I stole two CDs from the cooks in the kitchen. UTTAD and Crash. The rest, as they say, is history.

One song will do that. Seek Up sealed the deal for me. Plus, it was the opener for my first show. Yeah, I wasn't a very good Christian back then at times, but it was worth it. DMB has changed my life.

I went to Aquire the Fire out in Denver back in like 97 or 98 with my group of thug friends. We rolled up and everyone could only stare at us and talk about us. Our baggy clothes, smoking, rap music, and such....I hate people who preach loving everyone but don't practice

:thumbsup I agree. Too often are these "hippies" exclusive. They can't accept you if you're not mostly identical to them. They're basically just another group of immature dreamers who don't talk to anyone except themselves.

It made me look at things in a whole new way. The town that I am from is pretty small compared to some, around 40,000 without the KSU students, but it is a pretty diverse. Even in high school you had the obvious cliq's but not that many were exclusive. I was friends with people from different cliqs, social brackets, races, backgrounds....To me good people are universal. It's not what you have that makes you, it's who you are. Some rich kids can't break the stigma, but then there are others that are great people to everyone.....Etc.....

I find myself to be a pretty mellow understanding person. I have problems with no one until they present a problem to me. I have problem with any certain group of people. I know people who hate people for their sexualilty, religon, race, music they like, clothes they wear and it makes me sick. I'm not one of those everyone should love everyone people but I do think that everyone should get a chance to prove themselves if they want to.

We might have it, I'm not a big beer drinker. I started with fruity types of drinks...Screwdrivers and such.....Then I found whiskey and haven't looked back, beer is something for the end of the night when I want a drink but don't need one.
