I picked up my Taylor 814-CE this weekend. It plays like an absolute dream. I can fingerpick the hell out of it and it responds better than I could ever imagine and when I strum, it sounds like a chorus of angels singing.

I am a happy man.

Congrats right, Taylors are fine guitars! Mines a 414 CE ltd with embuia (I think I spelled it) and the new ES system. I tried em all at that price point and the Taylor
won hands down. Sounds awsome thru a PA too....

Let's see. I bought it at Guitar Center. I really like the one near my work. I read horror stories online, but the guys in Tempe are great. GC had it for $2799 on the tag. Buffalo Brothers in CA had it for $2395. GC said they'd beat that and gave it to me for $2312 with a box D'Addario EXPs a humidifier. Was $2500 after tax. I'm satisfied w/the price and happy to do business w/those guys. I've done a lot in the past.

The dread behind the 814 in that pic is a Washburn D10SCE. That's probably the best guitar for the money I've ever played. I think I got really lucky because it sounds amazing. I paid $299 for it and after owning it for almost 2 years, I'd have paid more. I'll travel w/that one and keep it in alt tunings when @ home.
