OK i've officially had my d35 for 5 or 6 days now. damn does this baby rock. first of all, the bass is that traditional martin boom, but i must say, not at all overbearing. the highs and mids still ring straight through (i'd imagine new strings are essential). secondly, this puppy stays in tune like none other. i put it on layaway 2 weeks ago at gc and it was locked away. i picked it up last week and have been playing it ever since (mighty heavily) and have not yet needed to even tweak one string. the response is so great--i see why tim loves his d35's. playability and sound are unmatched by any guitar i've ever played. and as a final point, let me just say that quality breeds creativity. i've come up with more cool shit with this guitar in 1 week that i have in the last year of playing. if you're thinking of getting one, stop thinking and go get one.
