Don't buy 'em online. You're better off paying more and having a store to go to with problems and questions, and you're also far better off playing the guitar you're going to buy. Twins within the same model line will be different, so you need your guitar in your hands before a decision can be made.

if you're looking for an acoustic, i work in a guitar shop that specializes in vintage acoustics, with a focus on gibson. it's called the mild irishman, and all of our prices are a good 20-30% lower than other stores, simply because the owner wants the instruments to have a good chance to end up in the hands of a player rather than a collector. pm me for details if you're interested(that goes for everybody!) i might even be able to swing a special am.org discount, depending on the guitar desired.

i say try it out at a store and buy it online, you usually get a better price

But, you won't get the same guitar that you tried at the store. All wood is different.
