when Dave plays it solo or with Tim, the intro he usually uses is just the transition (above).

i thought the intro was just the 5 7 7 intro that he plays with the band too...the breakdown comes in between the chorus and the bridge part.

i dont really like playing this song acoustic, it just doesnt sound as good without the rest of the band backing you up.

the transition from the F chord to the 7-9-10 chord is a toughy, and it kinda throws the whole verse off when playing solo accoustic- but the chorus and the "turns out.." part sound great solo accoustic IMHO

oh....i would say the Am, 3-2-1 on the low E is the "intro" you are talking about. I think solo or with Tim he just starts with that transition that he normally plays with the band. a good tab is up on dmbtabs.com. I dont get the verse though. i just started on the song this week.

Just like with alot of Daves songs the meld of vocals to guitar is quite
rhythmically intimate. To play and sing this one takes a bunch of practice to
nail. A lot of songs made no sense to me when I started to learn them.
Sometimes you have to break it down bar by bar and then begin to piece
them together (along with alot of reference listening) ,but eventually
the work pays off.
I think this is a great one, and stands acoustically once you understand it.:p

Is there any show for download that I could download off Ants. I really want to listen to a solo version of that song. I've been working on the song for guitar and I just want to hear dave play it solo so I can get it down right. If you know of any solo that's out or for download please let me know.
