Here is what should be about all of the games that my tickets will be available. Section 108, Row 8 (inside of 1st base, 8 rows behind the Dugout Box sections). I'm asking $120 for each game, which is much cheaper than what the Twins would charge you since they have lots of fees added on top. Feel free to make a fair offer on the tickets if you want, but it all depends on the game though. I’m actually going to all of these games still, it’s just that other tickets that I prefer became available for them.

6/17/11, Friday, San Diego Padres, 7:10 PM
7/6/11, Wednesday, Tampa Bay Rays, 12:10 PM
7/14/11, Thursday, Kansas City Royals, 7:10 PM
7/19/11, Tuesday, Cleveland Indians, 7:10 PM
7/24/11, Sunday, Detroit Tigers, 1:10 PM
8/10/11, Wednesday, Boston Red Sox, 7:10 PM
8/22/11, Monday, Baltimore Orioles, 7:10 PM
8/23/11, Tuesday, Baltimore Orioles, 7:10 PM
8/25/11, Thursday, Baltimore Orioles, 12:10 PM
9/5/11, Monday, Chicago White Sox, 1:10 PM (Labor Day)
9/7/11, Wednesday, Chicago White Sox, 7:10 PM
9/16/11, Friday, Cleveland Indians, 7:10 PM
9/18/11, Sunday, Cleveland Indians, 1:10 PM
9/21/11, Wednesday, Seattle Mariners, 7:10 PM
9/22/11, Thursday, Seattle Mariners, 12:10 PM
9/26/11, Monday, Kansas City Royals, 7:10 PM
9/28/11, Wednesday, Kansas City Royals, 7:10 PM (Last regular season game)

I also have some tickets in other locations for a couple games

6/27/11, Monday, Los Angeles Dodgers, 7:10 PM (Sec. 3, Row 1, actual front row on the field next to 1st base)
7/4/11, Monday, Tampa Bay Rays, 1:10 PM (4th of July, Sec. 14, Row 3, actual 3rd row on the field next to 3rd base)
7/18/11, Monday, Cleveland Indians, 7:10 PM (Sec. 106, Row 1)
7/21/11, Thursday, Detroit Tigers, 7:10 PM (Sec. 3, Row 1, actual front row on the field next to 1st base)
9/26/11, Monday, Kansas City Royals, 7:10 PM (final home series, Sec. 3, Row 1, actual front row on the field next to 1st base)

Let me know if you are interested in any of the games. If you’re interested in the tickets that aren’t my season tickets, let me know and I’ll get you the price. I’m just asking what I paid of course, but I have to look it up so I make sure I get it right. The Section 3 tickets for a pair would be between $170 and $190 depending on the row and the game. The Section 106 Row 1 tickets would be somewhere around $100 for the pair.

Despite the umpires' best efforts to screw the Twins over, they managed another win. This is starting to feel like the "old" days where the Twins manufactured runs and actually held onto late inning leads. Almost feels fun again. :)

Makes me think we should just get rid of Kubel, Thome, Mauer, and Morneau (and Delmon) and just keep fast guys that slap the ball around. :lol The Twins have won the last 5 games with a payroll that's probably no more than $30 million.

Yeah, I'm getting a little itchy, but I'm a little intimidated too. 10 games in 11 days. I have a feeling I'm going to be exhausted over the next 2 weeks. The Twins are just now getting into the bulk of their home games. A couple stretches later this summer they have something like 14 games in one home stand twice.

Wow dude, that is a lot! Not that I wouldn't do the same :lol I think the most I've done in a row is 5? But I've had a couple runs of like 6 outta 8 or 8 outta ten.

I've only missed 1 home game this season so far and I have tickets for 78 out of the 81 home games right now. I think there will be a couple weekday day games later this summer that I don't need to go to, but the plan right now is to go to probably around 75 home games this season. Also catching 2 games in Milwaukee. So yeah, the craziness is just starting.

Going to that many games is seriously like having a second job. I did 57 home games last year. The toughest times are when they have 4 night games between Monday and Friday. So I get home from work and immediately drive to the game, get home around 10:30 or 11PM. Do that 4 days in a row and it really gets exhausting. We'll see how it goes, but this season will definitely be a marathon. To be honest, when the Twins are away it's almost like being on vacation from that "job".

Yeah, there was honestly maybe 3 other games all season where I would say it was "good" weather out of the 21 games I've attended so far. One was the Sunday game against the Blue Jays, another was the second Detroit Tigers game (the game after the hail game), and the 3rd was the Saturday game against the Angels. The way I can tell the Twins are coming home for a home stand is the weather starts turning to crap. I don't know what the deal is this year, but the weather just sucks. Sunday is supposed to be really nice though.

Don't feel bad, they have only won 7 home games this year.

Last night sucked in pretty much every way. The rain was miserable and the play on the field was just as bad. Thankfully Swarzak pitched 6 innings so the bullpen wasn't destroyed for the rest of the series.

Liriano had some nasty stuff today. I can't help but wonder if the long break during the top of the 8th had something to do with why he wasn't as sharp during his last inning. Either day, that's 13 scoreless innings in a row since coming off the DL!

It definitely did. His first 3 pitches in the 8th were balls and he hadn't walked anyone all day. Liriano was sitting on the bench for 32 minutes while the Twins batted around the order in the 7th. That's too bad, but it was a good win either way.

I was a tiny tiny tiny bit "happy" when they got a hit. Only cause I didn't make to today's game, and I woulda been bummed to miss a no hitter:lol

But it's nice how things have been going and having some optimism.

Also Cuddy is the man right now!

More photos to follow of course, but I thought this one was funny from today. So you know how on the weekend games the Twins do a "kids lineup" where the kids go out and stand at each position and the Twins players stand next to them during the national anthem? Well Alexi Casilla almost looked like one of the kids on Sunday:

There really weren't a lot of "cool" or stand out moments as far as what can be captured with a single photo. That just happens at certain games though.

And then check out the photo I took of it:

Ignoring the resolution and clarity difference (the AP only uploads 72 dpi versions, mine is 300 dpi), I think I like mine better. I just thought it was funny how similar they were.

Because the AP photographer was sitting down in the photo well and I was sitting in the stands. So he was about 15 feet to my left and down probably 2 feet or so. So slightly different angles.

Yeah, last year they said they didn't want to do anything on the field except games the first season (Larry DiVito, the head groundskeeper, was adament about not messing with the field), but starting this year they would open it up to different opportunities. That was the plan, so I'm glad they seem to be following through with that.

I'm just hoping they get the NHL Winter Classic sometime in the next couple years. Outdoor hockey was made for Minnesota. None of that 45 degree crap that Pittsburg provided the Winter Classic with this year.

That's the second time it's happened this year for me. At least this time I was at the ballpark for more than 10 minutes before they postponed it. So I felt like I got something for the parking cost. First rain delayed game I've been at, even if it was postponed.

Weather is supposed to clear up tonight. Should be good. Nishioka might be back tonight too, but they haven't announced anything other than it "could" happen.

He never responded with anything at all. I also provided some of the photos I've been taking and I've been tagging him in all the shots I have of him that I post on Flickr. Kind of odd they haven't updated the story about Nishioka potentially playing tonight. The reason it was a possibility was because Rochester was flying out of Toledo today to head for Indianapolis or something and they were thinking he wouldn't need to fly to Indianapolis if they thought he was ready. Bill Smith said he wanted the team's doctors here to evaluate him before he plays since he hasn't seen them in months. So to me that suggests he's actually back in the Twin Cities right now instead of flying to Indianapolis with Rochester. Either they don't plan on playing him tonight or they are making it a surprise. Surprise seems less likely since I would imagine they might want to make a big deal out of his first ever game at Target Field to sell more tickets.

For Thursday's day game I decided to try a different view to get some photos. So I stood along the rail next to the left field foul pole with my 300mm lens and 2.0x teleconverter to effectively make the lens a 600mm lens. It's a little tricky to get good sharpness this way, but I thought it was interesting at least to get a few shots from a different angle. Take a look (there are 8 photos total):

http://www.flickr.com/photos/benckphotos/

And in honor of Baby Jesus making his return to the lineup Friday, I made this desktop background you can download and use (links below).

You can either download it in 16:10 format (good for 1920 x 1200, 1680 x 1050, and 1440 x 900) or 16:9 format (good for 1920 x 1080, 1600 x 900, and 1360 x 768). Here are the links:

Joe Mauer 16:9: http://benckphotography.com/photos/Joe%20Mauer%201920x1080%20(16x9).jpg
Joe Mauer 16:10: http://benckphotography.com/photos/Joe%20Mauer%201920x1200%20(16x10).jpg

Yeah, those ones are sharp. There are plenty that weren't though. I have photos of Cuddyer's homerun that would have been awesome, but they didn't turn out sharp enough. That's because of the teleconverter. I guess I'll just have to go out and get this lens then and take the teleconverter out of the equation:

I'm guessing its gotta be one of those things you have to snatch up preseason when tickets go on sale.

Just saw the all of the 8 runs on the highlights on mlb.com. Wow. With the exception of Revere's two hits, none of those were cheap ones. (and even Revere's first one was a rocket and forgivable) I LOOOOOOOOVE Casilla's aggressiveness on his hit down the left field line. It almost set the tone for the entire inning.

Thanks Twins for making it embarrassing to be a Twins fan in Milwaukee this weekend. Thankfully the Brewers fans are actually pretty nice. If that would have been in Chicago I don't think we would have made it out alive.

Miller Park is not very nice. It's super dark in there. I think it's funny they actually have to put lights in the dugouts because it's so dark in there. As far as picture taking goes, it's literally almost twice as dark as Target Field is. Where I would have been using an ISO of 1000 at Target Field, I had to use ISO's between 1800 and 2000 at Miller Park. Walking around the concourse is like walking through some industrial building. There are no real views of the field from the concourse. Anyway, I think the only way I'll come back to Miller Park is if the Twins are playing the Brewers in the World Series. It definitely made me appreciate just how nice Target Field really is.

And here I thought the 15 to 3 loss against the Rays was the worst game I'd attend at Target Field for a while. At least this game the weather was great. That was literally the one and only good thing from tonight's game. Half way through the game I was actually hoping for Dodger homeruns just for something exciting to photograph since I knew the Twins weren't going to provide anything good. Pathetic. Those 3 weeks to start June were fun while they lasted.

Yeah, then after the game Joe is saying that he'll play wherever he's needed. That's a different story than he had been telling while he was rehabbing. I think the fact that he's batting under .200 and quickly losing popularity in the club house has changed his tune. The fans, and the front office, are not going to be content just to see Mauer appear in the lineup. He needs to start producing and quickly.
