I am relatively new to playing guitar and I'm trying to learn a song that uses a chord that is the same shape as an F, but barred on the 12th fret(looked but couldn't find the name of the chord, sorry). My problem is that I don't have a cut-out and I can't get that high on the fret board to play it. is there another way to play this chord lower on the fret board? Thanks for the help.

I already tried the reverse chord find there and nothing came up.

Tab out the chord, and I'll find some for you.

And if it's barred at the 12th fret, it's most likely just an E variation.

wouldn't an E be too low?

Well technically no, but I see what you want. Just play this then, another E variation.

e----
b--9--
g--9--
d--9--
a--7--
e-----

that sounds just about right, and works well with the other chords, thanks a lot.
