according to chris matthews at least. it seems the dems need to learn that (for better or worse) the goal of a campaign is to get elected, not to be right.

One thing I like about his strategy is he never speaks negatively about the current President while all Republicans bash him. Republicans all say how he never says what he is going to do??? Well I've haven't heard anything from a Republican on what Bush will do except that Kerry is a flip-floper and didn't serve his country. This is how Bush beat McCain and now he is trying to do it again, he has nothing to run on besides negative attacks on his opponent.

That would be funny if you weren't being serious.

I think it says more about our educational system than the politicians. The politicians are going to reflect what the people demand. If the people demanded hard questions and thorough explanations, and avoided anyone who just provides them with fluff, we'd be in a much better situation.

"John Kerry's Approach: Intellectually Sound but Politically Suicidal"
Well that is one way of putting it, but allow me to pose another one for you:
John Kerry has no idea what the fuck he's doing and was chosen soley on on the basis that he's so devoid of uniqueness that there is no possible way he could offend anyone and thus syphon votes from Bush.
On that note I voted for Al Sharpton in the primaries. He may hate white people, and if he could, would see to his last breathe, we were all exterminated, but atleast he doesn't play smoke and mirrors to conceal his true agenda like Kerry. We'll never really know what Kerry really is thinking... It's my opinion he's actually a robot... a robot programmed in the distant future by Robert Z'Dar and the guy who played Sloth on the Goonies to travel back in time and attempt to save there careers. Unfortunately he was mistaken for the senator, and after having intercourse with that pickle lady, short-circuited, and ran for president.
But hey, It could be worse: Mike Ditka and Reb Brown could come off the shelf and put there bid in for the canidacy, or R-Kelly could pee on more children.

Your kidding right? Kerry/Edwards speak negatively about Bush's policies, never about him as a person.... while all Republican can do is question his Vietnam record (mind you he served and your person never did) and say he is a flip floper

The sheep comment was wrong and more descriptive of yourself, but more witty than the tool one. As for the point, I'll let you ponder it.

You just keep those selective reasoning blinders on, Mr. Smarty Jones.

That's funny I never knew there was only one republican doing all the ads... thanks for the education, but I did read somewhere, like on the back of a napkin or something, that the republicans had nothing to do with the Vietnam ads. Infact I also read somewhere that a number of the gentlemen blasting Kerry's Vietnam record voted Democrat. Huh.

The funny thing is that your entire post has no truth in it. Kerry has already attacked Bush for not going to serve in Vietnam, while Bush has never said a negative thing about Kerry's service record. Bush said that Kerry served honorably and that we shouldn't make the election about service records. Kerry also questioned Bush's time in the Texas Air National Guard. So who is attacking who negatively? Use your head. Also, while Bush has denounced all 527s and negative ads through third, independent parties, Kerry has not done it himself. Even though he was the one who called for Bush to denounce them. When will Kerry step up and denounce Michael Moore? He is on the same level as the swift boat ads. It's a two way street John, stop being a hypocrite.
