I still need a few days to put the entire experience into words, and I don't know if I'll be able to do it justice. All I can say is any picture, any video, any recording you've seen or heard from the Gorge only captures a tiny fraction of the experience.

More to come, I'm sure.

Oh, and an interesting way to end the entire trip. At the airport, I was hanging out with Brian, and we ended up meeting Flavor Flave from Public Enemy. Brian got his autograph and we took a few pictures with him. Quite the random way to end the weekend. :lol

I drove by Getty's on Sunday because some of my friends and I were jumping off some cliffs into the Columbia near there and we saw what looked like a parade. We drove by and there were like 50 people out in the street trying to fire some water balloons out of a balloon launcher and just standing in the street drinking. Was that any of you guys?

i just got home about 30 minutes ago.

i am actually going straight to bed now because i have been up since 6 am on sunday straight with the only real sleep being what i got on the plane today.

but, i wanted to post and say that with all the crap that is going on in my life right now, to be able to get away with such an amazing group of people, and not have to be stressed about anything seriously was the best thing that has happened to me in the past 1-2 years. i know it sounds pretty corny, but walking into the airport and out to my gate and then sitting at ohare for my layover was pretty rough for me just because i was thinking of the everything i had to come back to and everything i had just experienced over the the past 5 days.

i walked into this trip focusing mainly on the dmb portion and also the meeting of a couple of people and camping with them. i knew i would have a good time and would get to know people better, but i guess i didn't expect to get to know people so well and walk away as sad as i was that it was over.

i don't know, i'm kind of rambling, i'm tired... and... i don't even know what else. but thank you to all of you. i can't begin to explain how much you and our times together at the shows/in cars/at matt's/at the campsite have been able to give me motivation and some positiveness when things aren't that great for me or my family right now.

so thanks, everyone. i'm sure i'll be talking to you all very soon. :) good night, my friends.

Gorge was a blast as usual, and even more so finally getting to meet you all, even though due to some extenuating circumstances, every plan I had for 6 months went down the drain within 48 hours of the first show. I was offered many times for help of getting to stay but when it all came down to it I had to go. But I do look forward to partying with you all again, and this time I will get in on the planning earlier so I can stay at your camp sites instead.

This is going to be the hardest day at work ever.

Before I went to sleep last night, I cut the yellow "verified drinking age" band I got at the beer garden. It made me sad. I've still got the Getty's band and the Warehouse Preferred lawn band from night 1 on. I don't think they'll be coming off anytime soon.

Anyone got any more fun stories? Sunday night (Monday morning actually, around 3 or so), a couple of drunk meatheads were walking around, and fell into some woman's tent. I don't really remember much, other than her screaming at the guy and him saying, "What, what, what, what, what, what, what, what?" Apparently he the took a leak near the camp and she said, "Are you peeing?" and he said, "No I'm not European." It doesn't seem as funny now, but we were hysterical that night. :lol

Night 2 was the best night of the show. Everything came together perfectly. Almost all of us were on the lawn (April and I were on the floor, but our seats were so bad, we moved back). Seeing Jason's reaction during BOWA made the night for me. I've never seen someone so happy. The Seek Up was stellar, in spite of Dave messing up the lyrics. LIOG actually made me cry for the first time at a concert. :lol
