What the hell is he so scared of? He's the most powerful man in the world, for god's sakes. Just debate and win over the undecided, George. Or not.

He's afwaid that the mean ole undecided votews might not like him. We wouldn't want super citizen power to make the prez look like a jackass in front of millions. Then he'd have to bomb us all.

Actually, I'm afraid that liberal limpwrists such as yourselves would somehow manage to sneak in and try to say something unwitty, to which several of my Secret Service agents would be forced to stomp a mudhole in your ass. I'm just trying to save them the trouble.

He can't count any higher than 2, so he risks a total meltdown by going to 3.

Did everyone hear what Bushie said at a campaign stop yesterday, and I quote:
"We got an issue in America. Too many good docs are gettin' out of business. Too many OB/GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country."
9/6/04
That's right Bushie, we must all stick up for the love doctors. It's all about the punanny.

The presidential "debates" are a joke anyway. There is little left to chance or for viewers to gain from them because they staged by the campaigns. On the surface, this might seem bad for Bush, but he has nothing to gain from the debates, so it's not necessarily a strategically bad move. Clinton chose to do the same thing in 1996 with similar strategy in mind.

Knowing the questions ahead of time doesnt make for a spirited informative debate, by either side.

why would a person want to debate if they know they will say something stupid, which I think is hard to do. His aides I'm sure go over every possible fucking question beforehand. Whoever wins has the best memory, I guess.
I just hope they show the debate LIVE here in Norway..I Guess they will since it`s the only thing the media is covering now a days. When is the first debate?

the point of the debates is not to see who is more enlightened on issues or who will transform the country. they are about letting the american people see who they like up there at the podium representeing their country.

We are talking about Bush here he dont need no help, if it wasnt for his father he would have been a high school drop out standing on a corner somewhere in Texas with a sign that said "Will work for oil". He is as dumb as they come!

Let's see. Yale undergrad. Harvard Business School. F-102 fighter pilot. Dumb, huh? I'm sure that all those condescending elitists at Harvard are glad to hear that any moron with an 80 I.Q. could walk right through their vaunted business school. BTW, AnyonebutBush, where'd you go to school?

could he have gotten into to any of those schools without connections? didnt someone in his family graduate from yale? and a c average isn't that impressive in my opinion, whether its from a community college or yale.

Let's not forget that this was long before the grade inflation we have now where 90% of the students wind up getting A's and B's. Back then a C was, as it's supposed to be, an average grade (and probably the equivalent of a B+/A- at a lesser school).
Say what you'd like about his academic career, as a former Navy Air Traffic Controller, I can say without any hesitation that stupid people, no matter what kind of contacts they have, don't fly jets (transports maybe, but certainly not jets!!). The F-102 was the world's first all-weather interceptor, and flying it was in many ways much more difficult than today's advanced fighters. I wish someone would research what the mortality rate was during the period that Bush was training and compare it to that of the SWIFT boat drivers during Kerry's 4+ months at the helm.
