I think these polls are a little shaky because I think there are a lot of people who haven't voted before that are coming out to dethrone President Kick Ass & Take Names. How many of these people do you know?

I myself know 4.

doesn't really matter. You live in Maryland, which is solid a Kerry state.

Vote for the guy who didn't spend a fifth of a trillion dollars invading a country that didn't pose a threat to us.

This election is, ironically, bringing out the best democracy has to offer in one way- the voting turnout is most likely going to be among the highest we have seen, especially in the 18-25 age group. On the other hand, it is also causing a rift in our country that hasn't been seen in the memories of any of the "elders" I have spoken to at my college.

Bush has scared the shit out of an astounding number of people at my school. Traditional Greek rivalries have been put aside for Kerry rallies. More people than ever are showing up at political events. It's truly amazing to see, and terrifying at the same time.

Voter turnout will be impressive, and hopefully we can try to justfiy forcing democracy elsewhere by practicing it ourselves for a change.

I think that, for better or worse, there will be a lot of first time voters. As long as people are informed and form their own opinions, I think it's great. What I fear is a pack mentality that'll cause people to vote just because... That said, it's always good to get everyone out and voting.

I am a first time voter and so is my sister. I live in a state where there is not a complete decision either way so both running have been spending time here but I think I am voting for Kerry. I agree with Kerry more. Dont Judge me either I get my vote.

to try to disuade someone to vote because their state is strong one way or another is idiotic. In this country we have the great right to vote, its the ability to cast your vote to show what you believe in and support. I have voted in elections that the state wasnt won by who I voted for, but the fact is I voted for who I believed in.

:thumbsup :thumbsup people like you are out there, and not represented in these polls. But u gotta call people up. get involved and get the vote out. When there is a high turnout, the Democrats do well. This election is very simple. If the Kerry supporters show up at the voting booths, we'll win. If we stay home and say "it doesn't matter", then we'll be stuck with 4 more years of theocracy and violence. So put some time into the Kerry campaign. :thumbsup
