So, if you go to the seating chart, across the top there is a link to "Track Flights" and if you do, there are like 4 regular flights, 815 that says Alert Alert Alert, and that one. Flight 572's status is GIVEUS and it left from THE and lands in BOY. Give Us The Boy.
Not like it really actually means anything but hell. Except it would be cool if we found out in the future that another flight crashed and it was #572. And they became The Others.
No, it's Kristen Bell. Oh, you'd like her. She's like Maggie but way cuter. :)

Stolen Fun Theory, Spoilered for length.
Before you read anything, his main premise is that they never were in a plane crash, that it was staged. Their memory erased (or somehow altered) and that their flashbacks are "falsebacks". Implanted memories. They really are on an island, just not under the premise that they think they are.
Quote:
Written and conceived by William S. and Brandon B. (The Livids)
First off let’s state the obvious.
1) The island is off the coast of Nigeria and Cameroon on the West Coast of Africa.
a. Nigerian drug runners (Locals) dressed as catholic priests – Nigeria is 50% Muslim (Sayid?), 40% Catholic.
b. French is the official language of Cameroon – French Lady is telling the truth from her eyes; more later.
(Side Note : Arabic is also spoken in parts of Cameroon; Sayid?)
c. The black rock is a beached slave trader’s ship caught in some storm years back.
d. Both countries are on the Equator and very tropical.
The writers want everyone to assume it's in the Pacific because of the Flashback Memories and that its shot in Hawaii. But why harmless Austrailia? Because it's harmless and the closest thing to ...........
2) The year that the "castaways" with pre-crash flashbacks believe it is: Mid 2003 to Mid 2004. Tons of Clues for this, just a few listed here (The actual year...2010 or further into the future?...keep reading He doesn't really have a reason for the 2010, just maybe a few years in the future, not that important to his theory, just an idea). a. Expiration of Apollo Bar is 2004.
b. Little Nemo in French ("Beyond the Sea") hit homes on video Summer of 2003 if pirated, Fall of 2003 if bought.
c. Hugo drives an H2 by Hummer.
d. Hightened paranoia of Sayid being from middle east; because its soon after 9-11.
e. "That's why the Socks won't win the Series"; they won it Late 2004.
f. Harry Potter is mentioned as if it were a household name when "Sawyer" puts on glasses.
g. Tons more subtle hints.....
3) There was no Oceanic Flight: 815 out of Sydney, Flashbacks are artificial but contain clues about the real past. Oceanic Flight: 815 is the Title of a controlled research project funded by Hanso Foundation given to Dharma to initiate. Not the first integrated study of its kind, intiated by Dharma, for The Hanso Foundation.
a. The so-called "castaways" on the island consist of bystanders, kidnapped locals, former and current Dharma Initiative/Hanso employees or project leaders, relatives of the latter, subjects created in experiments, and just plain ol' test subjects.
b. Some of these "castways" are willing participants/observers/employees in the project working as "labcoats"; Possibly: Rose, Desmond, and some others with no flashbacks before the "crash".
c. Others in the group are, former or current, project leaders or employees, that have had their memories erased and replaced, unknowingly or knowingly (willingly or unwillingly) then inserted in to mix. You can see glimpses into their real past by who is in their flashbacks and those they interact with in the "castaway bunch".
d. Locke, Walt and possibly Aaron are experiments in a seperate sense than the others (More Later)
e. The French Lady is a bystander that has managed to survive with a high cost to her perception of reality, although her knowledge of the the island is suspect.
The following outlines break it down by Hanso Divisions and Pre-crash Flashbacks...or lack there of.
A) The Hanso Foundation "Theories that cannot be proven wrong as of 10/19/05" (http://thehansofoundation.org/activeproject.html)
1) "Life-Extension Project" is responsible for the upcoming zombies in episode 2-06 (These may be "the others" but "the others" could just be labcoats or a general term for both). Pretty sure this would involve unnatural, unperfected experiments on the subjects' genetics with drugs/food, or electromagnetic pulse, or any one of the other projects. Long life of mind but body decays. These subjects roam the island scaring everyone into believing a supernatural element is on the island (Enter "theislandiswaiting" at http://oceanicflight815.com/) (http://oceanicflight815.com/%29). This is most likely one of the six facilities on the island, represented by one of the six numbers, six Dharma Logos, etc. Not totally sure which numbers/symbols/etc.represent which station; several theories unproven on the net. Not sure I go with his whole zombie thing, but we'll see.
2) "Electromagnetic Research Intitiative" is Swan Station. It seems odd that Desmond wakes up all refreshed because he is supposed to be waking up every 108 minutes for a year or more? He is a lying "labcoat". He is just waiting at that station to initiate this particular Hanso Project on group 815 (Castaways with pre-crash Flashbacks). He is there to entice the group into the experiment if his "relief duty" (Snowman) doesn't do it first.
a. He is mixing fresh fruit into a "protein drink", not Dharma labeled products. i dunno, looked like bottled cherries to me
b. Modern Laundry products on Washer.
c. Very smug around Jack; his former co-worker in one of the Dharma/Hanso projects on the island?
d. The numbers are a control device to keep subjects within an effect radius of electromagnetic pulses, possibly released every 108 mintutes by the subjects themselves when execute is pressed.
e. Concrete is poured all around the machine so the subjects won't get close enough to die immediately from it.
f. Desmond injects the syrum with the numbers into himself to nuetralize the effects of...all experiments or just the Swan Station?
g. When Desmond leaves, he has a destination in mind, "Remote Viewing Facility?" because all he takes is reading material (Many people read novels to pass time on the job) and syrum; no food or supplies. When Jack catches up, Desmond knows just what to say to trigger a memory that makes Jack go back.
h. Desmond has no pre-crash flashbacks, they are all Jack's.
i. The Dharma labeled food may nuetralize or enhance the effects of the experiment in combination or seperately.
j. Several more clues.... I like how the rest of this sounds though.
Several projects going on at once, this may be the first stop in a designed trail from station to station.
The numbers are most definately part of the other projects such as "Mathematical Forcasting?" as a control on "Group 815", but they also keep the audience in control by how often and when they appear (In other words, be selective and use good common sense as to the importance of them). Too many people are obsessed with counting everything they see in the show; there is only 0-9, they show up naturally on their own. Example: People say there are hidden codes in books with mathmatical formulas, but the same formulas can be applied to any book to decifer "secret messages" - its just random numbers! *Don't let the writers lead you down the wrong path with numerical gibberish and obsession.* If someone on the island takes 23 steps and blinks 42 times during the length of a certain episode...it means nothing! Most of that kind of stuff is a waste of time; they didn't write the "way out there" stuff, but they are laughing at the people that pay attention to it.
The Food is also connected to the other projects. The Dharma Orientation is there to scare subjects into participating by sense of duty. Later on, more on the mural inside the Swan Station and who, in the "815 group" with "falsebacks", used to work there.....Plus, "Labcoats" in the Dharma Orientation Background that are on the island, Michael ?, some are "labcoats" some are "castaways that were labcoats?".....Tail Section Survivors with no Flashbacks.....? Alien Technology enforcing boundries? Why does Locke always..........

Yeah, there's no way it's one gigantic Milgram/Zimbardo conformity/chaos experiment. That would be the last straw with me and JJ. There's got to be way more to it than that. Like they are doing dirty work for Hanso - there must be more of a purpose than just to see how they'd act.

I'd actually be happy if it turned out to be an experiment on human behavior.

Well, I think to some extent and from what we've seen already, it sorta has to be partially an experiment on something. If it's just human behavior in general, I shall be bored. If it's supposed to be a test ground to see specific effects of something(s) on humans, for some new technologies and/or medicines for incurable viruses or something, that's cool. I just don't want the hatches and the monster and the sickness and The Others to all have no purpose other than to wreak (??) havoc on humans.

Ok I just finished the first season and just got done watching all, of the episodes so far in the second season.
My questions so far are:
Was the shark real or machine?? It had the logo and it bled when shot? Are there other animals controlled by the Corporation? What about that huge bird that looked kind of like a huge dinasour bird in the first season.
Is Walt really able to make things come true that he wants/wishes for? Such as bringing polar bears to life. Rolling the exact number dice that he wants. If so, could he bring back the dead to life? Could he bring a dinasour to life? What are the extent of his powers.
Also, I love how the show stresses such issues as.....polar bears. Walt was given a stuffed one by his father. One was in the comic book that Hurley had "the one in Spanish", and they were also featured in the video.
The stations. We know that the Swan is number 3. Where are the others. Is there on on the moon? I could totally see spin offs of Lost (ex: Lost: Station 4 The Moon). HA HA HA HA Hey, you never know. Who knew we would get like 10 freakin CSI shows.
Also, I saw a clip that someone had earlier from the first episode where that thing falls out of the sky and hits the jet engine and it explodes. Well before that when Jack is near the plane he looks up to see some puff of something floating in the air. Was that the "monster" from the jungle on the beach destroying the plane? What was that about?
Anyways, those are my rants and ravings for now.

alright, ill answer as good as i can...
pretty sure that the shark is real... and we dont know what is up with the animals yet, just guesses...
this is always a total mystery thusfar...
and yes all the details they put in are amazing...
most of us think that all 6 stations are on the island, and that they will eventually find them all...
and noone knows what the monster is, just speculation... some people say they are nanobots... i really just dont know...
anyway, i hope that i could help some, but most stuff is just a mystery at this point, so i cant really help you out too much...
anyway, welcome to the obsession... hope to see you every wednesday from now on for the craziness that goes on in here... later...

(Alli, I hope you get my follow up email before you see this thread so you're not dissapointed at what it's gonna turn out to be :p )
So I've been doing some general thinking about LOST. Lately I've gone back and DL'd a couple of eps from season 1 to remind myself of some stuff. As I think I mentioned before the one with Hurley's backstory was the one I could least remember of any of the important details of the whole show (the whole Sam Toomey thing, hearing the #'s being broadcast from the South Pacific, it was like hearing it for the 1st time), and also "Hearts & Minds" with the Boone/Shannon backstory, which was I think my single favorite ep of all last year, and not just because of my crush on Maggie Grace :p I thought it was just great storytelling, well written and with a great reveal both in the end, and with what their backstory told us about their character dynamic shortly before they got on the flight. And as a matter of fact I picked up a tiny little part where those of you with the DVDs may get as good a look at "the monster" as we did in the season finale last May. It's right after Boone says the line to Shannon: "But I told him that I wanted to tell you, and that's when he did this to me." Less than a full second later you can see in the background something happen between the ground and the trees that I just couldn't get a decent enough grasp of watching an .avi file (albeit pretty hi-rez one) on WMP.
Anyhow, there's obviously been passed around plenty of different mass theories already, what's going on in an overall sense, but there's perhaps an inherent danger in a show like this, because what it's had me thinking is -- with all that's been thrown at us so far and with all the possibilities they have working, is there any grand scheme that you could possibly conceive of that would end up as an answer you'd be satisfied with as a viewer? Now, I don't think this is the same kind of point as backlash, but which is also inevitable, unfortunately. That with something so popular and with so much hype, where people bury their interest in it so much it's like it's almost impossible that there ends up being a certain amount of negativity towards the show for one reason or another, however reasonable or not it may be. But, just try and think of the wildest, most elaborate and complex answer -- or the most simple and easist -- that this could possibly all be about. Will you be happy in the end?
I hope this isn't taken as me trying to ultimately stir up negativity needlessly because that's truly not my intent, as a devoted fan of a show where so much is mystery and up for conjecture, this just started to creep into my brain lately. Think of past shows that you could put in even sort of the same general category as LOST -- were you satisfied with their resolutions? Will I be happy and fulfilled after a few years if this does have something to do with governmental experimentation? I don't know. Or something to do with an alternate dimension, or involvement even with aliens somehow? I don't know. There's obviously LOADS of story yet to tell.
And actually, even here now as I sit and write this, as I typed out that last sentence above, I feel like I maybe have just given myself at least part of an answer. And that is, in a sprawling landscape of a story like this, ultimately it's not the destination (or the final, end-all "answer") that matters as much as the journey itself? And/or by association, the characters themselves being the saving grace of the show. That even if you're not greatly pleased with where they end up, but you felt a connection to certain (or all of the) characters, you latched onto them way back in the beginning and rode the highs and lows along with them, emotionally investing yourself in their lives, and in the end feeling that their part was worthy of your time?
whew, okay, I feel like I'm about to get a headache here so I just hope the rest of you don't as well just from reading this. I felt like I started out well and with a clear point to this but now it just seems like I'm rambling, I don't know what you all think :p But, well, like I said that's just an overall thought that's been bouncing around my head lately, figured I'd throw it out there and see if it sticks. And again - this is most defintely NOT about hatin'. I still am very much a fan of the show and look forward to what happens next. :cool
peace out, g's

oh in terms of "favorite eps" from season 1, like how I mentioned Hearts & Minds above, before anything's said let me point out that I was a huge fan of Walkabout as well, and in fact want to DL that one very soon to view it again as I haven't since its original airing last Fall. That one was very likely my #2 on the whole season, fitting because I think Locke might be my favorite individual character on the show (sorry Terry O'Quinn - I just happen to think my Maggs is way cuter and someone with whom I'd be much happier to find myself in bed :D )

Is there any grand scheme that you could possibly conceive of that would end up as an answer you'd be satisfied with as a viewer? Okay. Well, I hear your post. There will be people, in this thread, who consider themselves big fans who will stop watching before the show is over. That's just how it goes. Some people will no longer be entertained. There will be even more who will become bewildered with where the show goes and say to themselves on at least a monthly basis "God, this show used to be so fucking good."
I am a gigantic Alias geek. I was hugely into Sex and the City and I was a devoted Felicity fan but never really got to the point that I dissected it. SATC, however, I didn't like what they did with Carrie in the last two seasons but the places they took the other characters made up for anything I mildly disliked about Carrie. So I see your point about the characters and the journey and not the end result being the most important. I want to be taken in by the stories and the characters and see them change and grow and all that sappy shit.
So, I think you have a point about the characters being the saving grace. No matter what happens with Alias - (not spoilers) more zombies, actually-dead baby daddies, outrageously impossible stunts - I am just too devoted to the characters and their acting.
Though I will say that I wonder if Lost has achieved.....like, character loyalty yet or if it even intends to. These characters aren't all that likeable. I'm annoyed by some of them quite frequently and the others, I just only sorta care about. I don't know why that is.

Since I finished all the episodes in like 3 days I have been thinking to myself, do the Flashbacks really matter now? We have a good grasp of who these characters are and where they come from. But do we really need to know more about them? What do you guys think about "flashbacks" do you want more or do you want more of just the island and the hatch?
Re: Walt, I totally forgot about this one. Walt was on the floor doing his homework about birds and he spoke the words of some Australian bird then "thud" the bird ran into the window door. So this along with the Polar Bears, and the dice, that adds to his power "stash".

Besides enjoying the human element, I like how the flashbacks sometimes reveal unexpected connections between the characters. For example, Jack's wife and Shannon's father in the hospital or Jack's father and Sawyer in the bar.

Maybe so. But there are 22-24 episodes in a season. How much can there possibly be in the hatch? Especially (as has been discussed before in this thread) if they plan for the show to go on for four or five seasons?

Just a note on Kevin's monster post up there. In the end I think this show will go down as probably one of the greatest character driven shows of all time because at it's heart it is about the characters. Yea sometimes we get annoyed with some of them and hate/love some of them, but that is what they want us to be feeling. It's all apart of the human connection that the show has. I also feel that the whole grand scheme will be something so simple that no one here has yet even theorizied on yet. But anyways just a few thoughts...

Lost article in todays USA Today.
Just a quick recap
It talks about the Teddy Bear - Peter Pan refrence, or is it Alex and his teddy bear, or is it Desmonds teddy bear which was seen in his bunk in the hatch?
The numbers - all retired New York Yankee numbers. Worn by: Gehrig, Yogi, Dickey, Munson, Ford, Mattingly and Robinson.
The Swan - like we have allready talked about in here, was not the same symbol in the hatch

So for those of you who know about the Preston & Steve show here in Philly on the radio, they've been having their LOST Deadpool the last couple weeks, currently for who's going to die on next week's new ep.
Apparently they've had a huge majority of callers voting that it'll be Shannon -- does anyone else see this happening?? It seems an odd choice to me for everyone to be rallying around.
Well, plus, Alli - I'd think that if you did know if it was her from all of your spoilers, you'd have been finding a way to gently cushion the blow to me gradually during these last few weeks :D

I believe it will be Shannon just because she has been quoted saying that shooting the series and living in Hawaii is hurting her movie career, but that is just speculation on my part. Life sucks huh? :rolleyes
If I had my choice I would get rid of Michael in a heartbeat. He seems he is always either flying off the handle or whining about something or the other

Yea I never even imagined Shannon, so that came as a shock to me, don't know what that's all about (& not just because I'm in love with her :p )
P&S's best guess actually was (I believe her name is) Libby, the blond woman from the back of the plane, who was out paired with Michael in the jungle before he ran off to find Walt, and I think that's much more likely. Not sure exactly why but I'm still thinking of Michael, I actually thought it was gonna be him at the end of last season. And unless they're about to take his character in a new direction, his arc just seems sorta played out, the whole 'guy who was never able to be a father before but is now thrust right into having to do it' (and the producers were quoted last year as remarking that one of the reasons Boone went is because "his character arc was essentially played out").
As far as that supposed quote from Maggie Grace.... well I hadn't heard that, but if it's true she needs her head examined. This show GAVE HER her career, does she honestly think she would've gotten the lead in THE FOG remake if not for it (& that's supposed to be horrible anyway). Her movie career's just getting started and will only be helped by Lost. I can't see her being stupid enough to pull a David Caruso. (at least, I pray she won't :D

Ok Alli, so early yesterday morning you asked me for a good story, well I hope that A) you'd might feel this could qualify, and B) you don't mind that I'm sharing it with the crowd. I thought given what it is, it seemed appropriate. :D
Actually before I get into that, I have 2 files to share via good ole' YSI. We've still got at least a half a week now to fill til the wait is over, good enough time I suppose for a comfortable look back at a nice moment in season 1. I think it was maybe ep4 or so that featured the "everybody's nice to each other now" musical montage at the end with the layover of Joe Purdy's "Wash Away". Like many of you I believe, I first discovered this neat little diddy that evening. Shortly after airing, somewhere online I found an .mpg someone ripped of just the song portion of the episode, kinda making a sort of LOST music video, if you will. That is the 1st file for DL below (about 25megs). Secondly is an mp3 of the song. Oddly enough, even though I eventually did get my hands on the normal album version of it, for some reason I can't quite explain I still prefer how it sounded within the actual episode (which if you recall had some ambient sound of the beach in the first few seconds, before we sort of morphed into Hurley's headphones, as it were). And so that is what's in the 2nd file for DL, the audio ripped straight from the actual episode. I've personally included the song in many CD mixes of mellow, acoustical-type music I've made, thrown together with the likes of Damien Rice, Jeff Buckley, etc.
Joe Purdy - Wash Away (LOST video):

Anyhow, on with the story. Well, it's not really a "story", honestly, what it describes didn't really take very long to happen at all. But I digress.... :p
Ok, so, I have... *technically*.... both met and talked to JJ Abrams.
See, back still within my first year of when I moved to Los Angeles, I was really having trouble finding film production work to sustain myself, and ended up taking a sort of part-time job (though plenty of stretches where it was basically full-time) as a messenger over the course of about 9 months. This was back from very early Spring and into the Fall of 1999. Taking stuff around in my car, primarily entertainment industry-related packages, so I guess in that way it made it easier psychologically when I wasn't getting as much freelance work, because it was still putting me on studio lots, diff production offices, etc. Now, I had started watching the show FELICITY from day 1. The independent horror movie that I'd worked on in Ocean City, NJ ("Cold Hearts", in case you were wondering) in the summer of '98 that was my precursor to heading to LA, well one of the 4 main leads in that was a young lady by the name of Amy Jo Johnson (poor girl, her first day on set we were down on the boardwalk, and by that time plenty of the locals knew all about what we were doing, and she reluctantly received resounding choruses of "go go Power Rangers!" from the crowd :lol ) Anyway I drove her around different places as I did with all of the actors, one time we had like 1.5 hour ride to the bus station so, lots to talk about. She'd mentioned this pilot she'd recently got done shooting for JJ Abrams, and that's how I first heard of it.
So yea, I definitely was a fan of the show from the get go. Well one day on my messenger job I got the call that I had an envelope to pick up.... somewhere... I forget exactly now (wasn't a studio) and was to be delivered down to an office in an area of town south of Hollywood, to Mr. JJ Abrams. When I got there I had to go upstairs, and entered this room where there were like 4-5 people sitting around a table, casual atmosphere, looked like they were just brainstorming different things, writing, etc. Now, when I say *technically* I talked to Abrams... :D .... *ahem*.... ok, so honestly I didn't really say much beyond "Hi, how you doing, I've got a package from blah blah blah, I just need you to sign here." But I was talking to him, dammit! LOL Well, I might've just quickly said that I was a fan of the show, I'm not sure. But, what I'd really wanted to say, I didn't, and I kind of regret because it was sort of unique and perhaps funny, but granted I could see there were all into what they were doing, I didn't wanna overstep myself much. See, I forget if it was the 1st or 2nd season of FELICITY ending at that point, but at the time the whichever finale had aired not too long before, and my Mom would always tell me how much she loved watching it, too. Whichever season it was, it ended having Felicity getting into a cab, and the idea was that she was going to either Ben's or Noel's place, but that of course was the cliffhanger, which guy she was going to, you didn't hear what she told the cabdriver. Well I remember after it'd aired that my Mom was telling me that she'd watched carefully and she really thought she knew which name Felicity had said by the movement of her lips, or something I guess :lol (not that I recall which guy she said) And this was, what, like 6 years ago so my Mom was about 57 at the time, and what I'd wanted to share with Abrams was that.... well, obviously he knew his show had become a big hit and was popular. But I'd thought he might've gotten a laugh from knowing that here was my dear mother, a late 50's woman living back in Pennsylvania, and she was so into this show and such a fan of a drama about this young girl coming into her own in her freshman year of college in NYC, that she scrutinized the final scene of the season so much and she was sure she knew already what the cliffhanger answer was :D
Ya know, like, man.... THIS is how far reaching this thing has become, JJ. Kinda wild, huh? This isn't my sister or 16 year old cousin I'm talking about (not that I have one), but my mother.
But, um.... yea... I bagged off and didn't say anything :p Anyway, he signed the slip and I was on my way.
And that concludes Story Hour for this evening, thank you boys and girls.

Sometimes I in fact think I'm not a very good writer at all, because one of the primary virtues of one should be brevity, the power to convey so much with so little, and I have a ways to go on that avenue. Once I get going I get so into the flow of the words and want to tell a story, often coloring the ins & outs a little too much.
And Alli, regarding Amy Jo.... though she was perfectly a sweetheart to work with, very nice girl, I did think she left a bit to be desired acting-wise. Granted, that horror movie was unabashedly a wretched piece of shit, one of the worst scripts to ever actually have a motion picture produced out of it, on both a character and dialogue level so it's not like she had much to work with, but yea she ain't exactly in my top 10 of fave and/or talented actresses.

oh and well, duh, you wanna see a bad Amy Jo performance, I'll have to try and get you a viewing of COLD HEARTS! :p Well, it's pretty much a bad performance from everyone, but.... :lol the other leads being Marisa Ryan, who played the eldest daughter on the sitcome "Major Dad" and post-CH did like 1 season on that Fox drama "NY Undercover" or whatever it was called, and whoooaa nelly, did I have a huge crush on her, in fact there's some funny stories from that Ocean City set :D And the #1 male lead was Robert Floyd, whose other biggest role post-CH was taking over Jerry O'Connell's role on "SLIDERS" once he left the series. One of the nicest guys you could ever meet, treated me like a kid brother, but good god couldn't act his way out of a paper bag :ugh

my problem now is i never had to actually WAIT after a cliffhanger. just download the next show. im spoiled.
PS. the last 5 minutes of the 'everybody hates hurley' episode (with the food inventory) were maybe the best 5 minutes of television ive seen in years. hooray for rose and her husband...i dont care how cheesy and predictable it is.

Here's a question out of nowhere I realize....
Locke still hasn't told a single soul on the island that he used to be paralyzed.... correct?

The closest he came was when he told Walt he had a secret, but he didn't tell him what that secret was

This has been a very long 3 weeks, especially after that preview. I'm so paranoid that Claire's the one who dies

I'm sorry if this has been discussed, but I don't really want to backread. Has there been any discussion of parallels between John Locke on the show and John Locke the 17th century philosopher?

Yes...numerous times like Locke's theories on Faith and Reason and it's parallels to Lost.

I just hope it's not Claire or Hurley

There are probably other people who don't want to read who it isn't dying, just as there are many who don't want to read who IS dying. Right? You should really tag that. Though, I guess it's too late.

Waaaaaait a sec..... hey is that a sly ;) ;) reference to the porn version of LOST? Entitled "CROSSED" ? It's about a person who, when they were in the middle of getting gender-reassignment surgery to go from a man to a woman, the performing surgeon was informed that he won the lottery, but dropped dead of a heart attack on the spot. He/She (Sam) couldn't get finished so Sam had to exit the surgery being stuck in a sort of asexual limbo (not purgatory!) Well later on when Sam was in Australia visiting his/her uncle, a sheep herder, Sam found out about a surgeon in Los Angeles would be able to help him/her and finally complete the surgery. However the plane crashed, onto a remote island, Sam was the only survivor but soon discovered there was a group of mysterious people already inhabiting the island, this clan of others was comprised of both incredibly beautiful men & women, yet Sam could fulfill not lustful desires, whichever one Sam had, having been caught in Sam's unfortunate state of asexual limbo (not purgatory!)
Yea, mm hmm... I think that's what you were referring to with your coy "deeper" remark.... pfffft... get your mind outta the gutter, dude. :rolleyes
