My internet decided to stop working last night as I was typing my long rant that had to do with me hating the FUCKING STATE OF FLORIDA!!!!! (or kind of a long those lines). I've had a distaste for the state since the '95 Orange Bowl. Have you ever been to the old Orange Bowl? I don't know how the stadium survived as long as it did...I can't believe it wasn't looted and sold for scrap parts years ago. And then we got stuck in the Bradenton/St. Petersburg/Tampa area trying to get out of the state. Hellish trip. I try not to got back to the state but work keeps taking me there. Can't stand it.

What if being sent down for a 37 year old hitter batting .178 destroys Felix's confidence? What if his bad vibes effect your Zambrano's and Wood's. Guys who have been known not to like him in the past. What if after he's gone, those vibes remain? What if his sucking cost us games? I mean for everyone calling this low risk. I think there's some things that are of concern. Mainly how his play effects W's and L's and the Clubhouse environment.

Normally it wouldn't be a big deal, but everyone is meshing so well together. Just scares me to be bringing in a guy who could mess things up. Edmonds won't get a chance. He'll get booed, but if he hits and keeps hitting. He'll eventually get accepted. But he's going to have to kick ass to do so.

Where does this guy hit in the lineup? I know you said 5 in a previous post, but that be a joke. Until he proves otherwise. He doesn't deserve to bump Fukudome, Soto, or DeRosa down. So I'm actually thinking here's the new 8th hitter.

Edmonds is pretty unnecessary, in my opinion. Moving Fukudome to 2nd in the order really doesn't do all that much, because Theriot's on-base percentage is exactly the same as Fukudome's. So...who cares. Plus, it's nice to have some extra speed on the bases at the top of the lineup. Things have been working well with the lineup that's been going out there, lately. I don't see how Edmonds is any improvement whatsoever over Reed Johnson. It's not an improvement, at all. It just makes them worse. There really isn't much risk, but I wonder how they think this can work out. If Johnson continues hitting .250 with a .350 OBP....Edmonds probably won't match that, and as far as defense goes, we've all seen what Reed Johnson can do in the outfield.

How long do we give Edmonds? Two weeks? A month? Until the All-Star Break?

There's a reason the guy was hitting .178. If we play .500 ball over the next month, it's on Jim Hendry for screwing with chemistry and talent.

I'm mad about this.

EDIT: But in the world of good news, we knew he'd come around but man, is Soriano on fire or what. With him hitting like this, our offense is ridiculously stacked. D-Lee is slumping a little right now, but I like Soriano hitting leadoff because of the depth in our lineup. And Theriot can clearly hit in the two-hole.

Ohhhhh God.
I got my cable hooked up on friday, and got to watch them call today's game on comcast.

Every fucking time the ump calls a ball against the sox, they're like "Awww c'mon! That was clearly a strike!" Or something like that.
Or they talk about how if something wouldn't have happened a certain way the Sox would be killing them.
There's way more, way worse. Like seriously half a dozen examples every inning.

But the best was the 4th inning today when we were stomping the living shit out of them.
Most of that inning was dead silence. Then just saying the score.
No praise for the Cubs. Mostly silence. :lol
