:thumbsup You're a class act as far as I'm concerned. I'm glad to see this attitude from a White Sox fan. You may not agree, but sometimes South Side fans get a little more caught up with wanting the Cubs lose, then their own team winning. I know not everyone is like that, but I think a lot of it stems from the attitude of Ozzie and Kenny. Those two take shots at Cubs/Wrigley every chance they get.

For sure the White Sox have been a surprise. With the exception for Big Z, I'd rather have your starting rotation. It's a big reason that they're in 1st place. I know no one expected Danks and Floyd to be so solid. Contreas was like Edmonds in that everyone thought he was done. Plus with Linebrink, Dotel, and Jenks your bullpen is great. Good luck the rest of the season, and in the post season unless we meet.

We're the only team that has ever used the National League logo on our jersey. The alternate blues in case you are wondering. No AL team has ever worn the AL logo by choice. For the centennial patches of the AL, it incorporated and worn by teams that season.

We're also the only team to have ever worn their logo on their pants. Our current road jersey has a small Cubs logo on the thigh. Though some other teams have had a jersey number graphic. We are also the only team not to use decals on their batting helmets. We use that embroided patch thing instead.

It turns out it's been there since the 80's and has no purpose. We could take it off at any time. I think years from now he may be like Smoltz and get the urge to pitch again. As for right now he just wants to pitch. I think he's enjoying being the closer. He gets to pitch with the game on the line, and so far this year he's been FANTASTIC.

He has 4 blown saves this year. One of them we won, and only one was he responsible for the loss. So in the other two he just gave up the tying run and got out of the inning. We all know now he's been simply fantastic. No one goes "Oh no it's Wood." like they did in April. He may have given up that triple, but he didn't let it get to him. He just took care of the next guy.

With Wood being a veteran pitcher, who can put what just happened out of his mind. Not to mention how strong mentally he's had to be through out all his injuries to just not give up. He's got the perfect closer mentality. Just imagine if Marmol was our closer right now. I don't things would be going so well. Though 90% of people thought he was the correct choice back in April.
