ah the old feeling is back. you guys that have been cub fans for life know that feeling. 4 run lead in the 7th? yeah, they'll blow it. runners in scoring position in extra innings with less than 2 outs? yep, they'll blow it. it's that feeling of deja vu, like this has all happened before, and it will continue to happen over and over again - a vicious cycle. i hate this feeling. and the bastards just feed it and give us small glimpses of hope, like maybe they can actually knock in Pie from second with 0 outs. it doesn't seem all that implausible, it almost seems downright inevitable. should have known better, i knew it at the time but i let myself get carried away. i was a victim of cubbie hope, the most evil brand of hope. eternal hope, right? yeah, sadly I still hold out some hope even though I should know better. we should all know better by now.

Every acquisition they've had has done a bang up job. Marquis, Lilly, Soriano (coming around), DeRosa, Cotts. The guys they spent the money on aren't the problem.

It's guys like Zambrano, Eyre, and Howry that are killing the Cubs.

im gonna have to say cedeno or maybe even murton to clear up the outfield situation, theres no way they can continue with 5 outfielders on this team all vying for playing time, that will only hurt us in the long run so were gonna have to make a sacrifice and even though i dont wanna believe it its most likely gonna be murton

1)We suck, were losing to a team whose #5 hitter is a minor league no name, Ryan Doumit
2)Were the Chicago Cubs and barring a mircale, we probably never will win the world series

4)How much longer before Lou officially blows up and realizes he should have never come to chicago?

we can't hit with runners in scoring position, we play poor fundamental baseball and our bullpen is sub-par. a solid bullpen, timely hitting and good defense can take you a long way, but i guess these millionaires living in chicago are too good to do things such as hit the opposite way and advance to third following a good jump on a single to right field

the problem with this team is that there all egotistical freaks that just go up to the plate trying to hit home run after home run, they much rather fly out to the track then get an opposite field single between 1st and 2nd, thats why the plate approach sucks, we dont walk because we HAVE TO HIT HOME RUNS, this approach will never work, so lets cheers to 99 years of failure here in chicago

i hate to say it, but they should take a lesson from the rivals in st. louis. they play ball the way we played back in junior high and have 10 different rings to show for it. they bunt, run the bases, hit the opposite way, steal bases, sac fly, hit and run, sac squeeze. what do we do? we strike out, get a double, strike out then fly out.
