Every acquisition they've had has done a bang up job. Marquis, Lilly, Soriano (coming around), DeRosa, Cotts. The guys they spent the money on aren't the problem.

i've felt the same way for the past 10 years. every year i say to myself, this year i will think positive. i've realized that it's not like i haven't been positive about the team, i've been realistic. we suck and will never turn things around. ever.

we can't hit with runners in scoring position, we play poor fundamental baseball and our bullpen is sub-par. a solid bullpen, timely hitting and good defense can take you a long way, but i guess these millionaires living in chicago are too good to do things such as hit the opposite way and advance to third following a good jump on a single to right field
