Yes, it is a life long dream. Not my only one, and how many titles the White Sox win or don't win before that happens I could care less about. The Cubs winning has nothing to do with the White Sox. If you trust him, you can have Dempster come out of the pen for Game 5. You could probably get by with just those two for that game.

Z was dominating but you had the lead. You hand it over to a pen arm that is just as dominating. Marmol would have pitched the 7th, Wood the 8th, and had it to Marmol in the 9th. How is that a bad plan?

I mean Marmol had a 1.43 in 2007, and lets say you let Zambrano pitch the 7th. Now he's probably not pitching Game 4 for you. Then you give it to Marmol in the 8th. Marmol blows up there instead. Now we've blown that game, and Zambrano isn't available for Game 4.

How anyone puts the blame on Lou for Marmol choking is beyond me.

If it's not the same plate ump, I'd be ok with Dempster going in a clinching game. The ump was bad both ways, but Dempster let it get into his head too much....and we kept swinging at junk so it was affecting Lowe as much.

Well as a starter at least.
Closer yeah, that was fairly common unfortunately.
But really its not, cuz if he was good, then Woody never would've become the closer, and Demps would have never been so good as a starter this year.
So it works out.
I have confidence in him if he gets to pitch again as well. I think he will be able to learn from his mistakes in game 1.
Lets just hope he gets that chance.
