And the quarter has a dime sized hole in it. The one time it's on course to hit it, somehow the dime goes through the hole.

I wouldn't mind seeing guys like Howard, Utley, and Rollins get theirs. They're great guys and I'm a huge fan of all of them (barring Rollins being a baby a few months ago). Cole Hamels too.

maybe the cubs are just overrated this year?

That's the thing. I truly felt like the Cubs were definitely the best team in at least the NL, if not the league this year.
Even as a Cubs fan. I feel like I'm usually pretty realistic when it comes to sizing up our teams.
Like last year, I knew that they weren't gonna do anything, even though they made the playoffs.
But this year was different. They have the team to go all the way.
They're just not executing.

Nope. I really like the Cubs. So I will tell you this....

Everything I have replied to has been in response to one specific and complete douchebag who dogged my "golden" team. Now, that being said, it was a team that just "annoyed" him. It's not like it was a major rival or anything like that. ANYWHO....He had to come into a specific team thread (not at all unlike this one) and run his ignorant mouth. You can kindly thank him. :)

Oh man. A guy from my office went to the game tonight, and at first I was so jealous and excited for him.

So honestly here folks.....

Does anyone truly believe we will win the next 3 games and be able to take the series?

I mean you got the Red Sox beating the Yanks after being down 0-3. And the Yanks were a better team than the Dodgers and the deficit was bigger.
The Sox were put under their own similar kind of pressure of their own history.
It could happen.

Yanks in 2001 came back down 0-2 against the A's. It can be done, and I do like our chance with Harden and Lilly in pitcher parks against the Dodgers 3 and 4 pitchers. Do I like our chances at a Game 5 in Wrigley with Dempster likely the Game 5 starter? Nope.

It could very well happen. We need to keep pouring it on. Hopefully Kuroda can control the plate half as well as Billingsley had tonight. But most importantly, keep the clutch hits coming.

The Dodgers' previous postseason runs this decade have been just as bad. For all we know, the Cubs send this thing back.

in all fairness, anyone who hates the cubs has every reason in the world to be laughing their ass off right now.

I agree. If you need some good examples, feel free to go to the white sox thread there is plenty of flubs fans shitting on us in there. How some react after I post, and how my parents should be ashamed of me and blah blah blah. And how I should go smoke some meth or whatever like all sox fans do (didn't you know?). Its so god damn funny the reactions I get with just a few posts. Am I trying to fuck with cubs fans? Of course. its amazing to me how much ppl get all serious about it. Fuck me, its a message board. So predictable. And if you don't get the cubs sox shit talking, clearly you aren't from Illinois. Get off it. Your team is over rated as usual and you all were riding high when this series started and now I'm relishing in it. So what? Don't reply.
I'll dumb it down for you. C U Next Tuesday.

Ya, that whole thing. Being 5 outs away with Prior on the mound with what he did in the second half. Not to mention we blew Game 1 in extras. But were up 3-1 in the series. Zambrano, Prior, and Wood all got beaten in that order to lose the NLCS.

It was worse because they got so close. This year is right up there because they had played so much better this year than any other year since I've been a fan.

A morning show in Milwaukee did a segment about '03, it made their CD that they release annually. I have it on MP3 I will post it sometime...

It's just kind of douchie to troll. :shrug

I mean is your life so empty and without meaning that you prey on the misery of others? If so, cool. But based on the above it sounds like you'd have much better to do. :)

Well I'm still at work, and the only thing that keeps me laughing is fucking with yall occasionally. Sorry. You'll be ok. But like someone said above, ppl who hate the cubs are loving this. I LOVE this. Love. And everyone who tags me with lines like oh that's so sad, and gosh ur just lame trolling our board. Our previous cubs board! Well too bad I hate your team and your idiotic fan base. Sorry my team won a world series and is on the southside.

see, what they're doing now is giving everyone a slight, very very small, glimmer of hope heading into the weekend. like, oh, damn, they got hot at the end, maybe they can carry it over. and then they get swept.

i see what you did there. you did a little equation with the scores of the games. that's very clever. that's pretty slick, bud. well done.
