I grade myself after every interview. I write down some questions that they asked me and put my answers and completly study my response to everything and analyze it. If it's a phone interview I take notes while I'm in the process. It helps me adjust for the bigger better interviews. I've turned down a lot of jobs and lost out on a few but I still rank every interview.

ok, i have a "positive" tale from today...
i was really dreading the day... horrible schedule at work, yadda yadda yadda
turns out everything went really well til the last cardiolyte patient. it was an older lady and she was really wobbly getting down from the table. heather (the other tech) and i were helping her down when she just RIPPED one! oh, it was horrible! eyes watered! gag reflexes were challenged! and here's me and heather, being solicitous, helping her get dressed when we are just DYING inside :lol
we escort her to the waiting room and then we just utterly lost it! we were trying to muffle our laughter, which made it ten times worse :rolleyes: then the two nuclear medicine techs (guys) were sniffing (oh god, i'm laughing now!) the room and looking at heather and i like WE did it! heather lifted her scrub top and said "ewww! is it on me?" and i couldn't breathe i was giggling so hard. then we started trying to describe it... i think the best term was a skunk ate a rotten egg & crawled up her butt & died... whew!
the funniest part was when we finally had to regain control & walk past the waiting room to leave the clinic & head back to ours upstairs. we held it together til we got in the elevator and we started up all over again :lol

i was cutting past the ER after a smoke break when i saw this older gentleman standing in front holding two large bags of pill bottles, short sleeves & pants... and no shoes :freak i asked him if someone was coming to get him & he mumbled that his daughter was supposed to but he'd been waiting for "a long time". i was appalled that he's standing outside with NO SHOES so i go inside and browbeat the ER staff into giving me some. the clerk rolled her eyes at me and said "oh that's Mr so and so, he's here all the time" so i retort "what? being a chronically ill person doesn't entitle a man who served his country footwear??" they didn't have any of those foam slippers there so i made her call ICU and have them send some down.
he couldn't put them on so i did it for him (outside, just him & me.. think anyone from the ER would have come out there???). he was so sweet he kissed my hands and called me his angel. i finally convinced him to come back inside to wait since it was cold & blustery outside.

and that was my day... didn't suck after all!
