Check this out (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33028&item=3754435420&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW), this guy is saying he has DM3MD #1. What a joke, if people are trying to scam people on Ebay they should at least do some research so they know they can or cant get away with someone. So either Dave is selling #1 or someone stole it, or my guess is this guy if full of it.

although, don't quote me on this.. i would assume, dave has his own dm3md... and the rest are manufactured and then numbered...

According to Martin dave was given #1-3. I work for a guitar store and i talked to the Martin guy about it a year or so ago, he said they gave him the 1st three. He wasnt sure why, he said it may have been in the contract for making them.

He's not saying he has the first one. He's saying he has one of the 234 that were made.

Don't send him anything, you'll look pretty dumb.

He edited his post, the #74 wasnt there when he first posted, I emailed him when he first posted it asking if it actually was #1.

i dont know why someone would pay $6k for this guitar. only thing that gives it it's value is the DM name. at most it's worth about probably $3.5-4k, even then you have to enjoy the design since i hear it has a different neck than most guitars

THere's another DM3MD up there now. Price seems pretty steep (i am not a guitar guy though). The cool thing about it though is that its #40.

$5k for a devauled guitar. wrong pickup for the body. shame too #40 would have been cool
