In 1975 terrorist violence is the stuff of network nightly news programming and the corporate structure of the UBS television network is changing. Meanwhile, Howard Beale, the aging UBS news anchor, has lost his once strong ratings share and so the network fires him. Beale reacts in an unexpected way. We then see how this affects the fortunes of Beale, his coworkers (Max Schumacher and Diana Christensen), and the network.

I DARE MSM TO ASK THE OBVIOUS
Let’s imagine that 4 years ago, you went to your boss or partners or board of directors with a plan for a project.
Three years later, it turns out:
- your project was based upon knowingly falsified data
- your project has gone 10,000 % over its budget
- your project has gotten 3,014 of your employees killed and 22,000 injured
- your project has no realistic end in sight
- your project has exposed your company to virtually unlimited financial liability
- your project has brought your company to impending bankruptcy.
Against that backdrop, ask yourself this -
if this was you,
HOW FIRED WOULD YOU BE?

Even if you don't have a dog, you gotta love this one...
TO: GOD
FROM: THE DOG
Dear God: Why do humans smell the flowers, but seldom, if ever, smell one another?
Dear God: When we get to heaven, can we sit on your couch? Or is it still the same old story?
Dear God: Why are there cars named after the jaguar, the cougar, the mustang, the colt, the stingray, and the rabbit, but not ONE named for a dog? How often do you see a cougar riding around? We do love a nice ride! Would it be so hard to rename the "Chrysler Eagle" the "Chrysler Beagle"?
Dear God: If a dog barks his head off in the forest and no human hears him, is he still a bad dog?
Dear God: We dogs can understand human verbal instructions, hand signals, whistles, horns, clickers, beepers, scent ID's, electromagnetic energy fields, and Frisbee flight paths. What do humans understand?
Dear God: More meatballs, less spaghetti, please.
Dear God: Are there mailmen in Heaven? If there are, will I have to apologize?
Dear God: Let me give you a list of just some of the things I must remember to be a good dog.
1. I will not eat the cats' food before they eat it or after they throw it up.
2. I will not roll on dead seagulls, fish, crabs, etc., just because I like the way they smell.
3. The Litter Box is not a cookie jar.
4. The sofa is not a 'face towel'.
5. The garbage collector is not stealing our stuff.
6. I will not play tug-of-war with dad's underwear when he's on the toilet.
7. Sticking my nose into someone's crotch is an unacceptable way of saying "hello".
8. I don't need to suddenly stand straight up when I'm under the coffee table.
9. I must shake the rainwater out of my fur before entering the house - not after.
10. I will not come in from outside and immediately drag my butt.
11. I will not sit in the middle of the living room and lick my crotch.
12. The cat is not a 'squeaky toy' so when I play with him and he makes that noise,
it's usually not a good thing-
P.S. Dear God: When I get to Heaven may I have my testicles back? ??

The city of Los Angeles once named a street after Jack Bauer in gratitude for his saving the city several times. They had to rename it after people kept dying when they tried to cross the street. No one crosses Jack Bauer and lives.

After the Guptan Empire fell in 550, India split into many kingdoms. In the late 1100’s, the sultan of Ghur defeated Hindu armies in India and organized a sultanate. The Muslims introduced customs of Islam to the government of India. In 1398, Tamerlane invaded India and conquered it, separating it into separate Muslim and Hindu states. Even in separate states, the two religions blended together and traditions of each religion made there way to the other religion. In 1526, a mixed Turkish and Mongol force invaded and conquered India. They were lead by Babur, who set up the Mughal dynasty. Akbar, Babur’s grandson, strengthened the Mughal empire by creating a strong central government. He also instituted the policy of tolerance for other religions, such as Hinduism. Under the Mughal dynasty, the Taj Mahal was built.

Proceed forward and kill the two guards past the blue glass
(actually it looks more like a pool). Get their ZMGs 9mm,
then return and turn right (left from the entrance) and in
the middle of the 2 pillars there is a room (mmmm... no...
a spot...). Kill all guards here (there are about 5-6 of
them) then turn right and go through this hallway. There's
a little room on you left (again???) with 2 guards and a
body armor. Get it, then go back and proceed.
Turn right and you'll see lots of pillars... well, go
behind them and climb the stairs... Open the door on your
left and you'll be in the Golden Gun Room. But HEY!!! Watch
out, there are invisible switches on the floor. They
activate 4 automatic guns (Ouch! Painful...). So here's the
path:
- All the way left.
- 2 forward.
- Go right 4 squares (stop when there's a difference of
one square between you and the wall.
- 2 forward.
- 1 Left.
- Another one up.
- Another one left.
- Finally go all the way forward...
Now go to the right of the glass and the Golden Gun will be
revealed. Get it, remember the ammo (duh, really??) and...
(objective A complete).Exit this room by the door-wall on
your left. Grab the body armor if you are in trouble...
Note: If you fail on a square and you start loosing blood
cause of the machine guns... (damn programmers) quickly
exit the room by the left door, then return by the stairs
and the guns will be inoperative again...
Equip your Golden Gun, kill the guard on your right, then
proceed forward and you'll meet Samedi (this guy looks like
a baker, hehehehe). He has two DD44 Dostoveis. Kill him
with a beautiful, sharp shot. Hey, I think you're laughing
now:
" Yes I finished Egyptian!!"
Stop your loud laughing because Samedi is alive... turn
left and proceed to this hallway, then take another left
and you'll be in the very first room (the one with the
"pool"). You'll see him again. Now he's armed with two ZMG
9mm. Kill him and then return to the room where you first
killed him.
By the way, the level will now turn dark. Be careful from
guards. Behind a pillar (look at the shadow) on your left
in this room, is a somehow invisible door-wall. Enter it
(duh, really??), take a right and proceed all the way
forward (there are automatic guns on your right) then take
a left and you'll meet him for the last time.

But the raven, sitting lonely on the placid bust, spoke only,
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing further then he uttered - not a feather then he fluttered -
Till I scarcely more than muttered `Other friends have flown before -
On the morrow will he leave me, as my hopes have flown before.'
Then the bird said, `Nevermore.'

What the waters wants is hurricanes
And sailboats to ride on its back
What the water wants is sun kiss
And land to run into and back
I have a fish stone burning my elbow
Reminding me to know that I'm glad
That I have a bottle filled with my own teeth
They fell out like a tear in the bag
And I have a sister somewhere in Detroit
She has black hair and small hands
And I have a kettle drum
I'll hit the earth with you
And I will crochet you a hat
And I have a red kite
I'll put you right in it

Mountain Jam 2007
filed under: festivals | tags: Mountain Jam
mountainjam.jpgBack in it's third year thanks to Radio Woodstock and Warren Haynes, Mountain Jam 2007 announced it's lineup last week and it's a relatively strong one considering the slew of other festival announcements that have been hitting our inbox lately.
Third Annual Mountain Jam
http://mountainjamfest.com
June 1-3, 2007
Hunter Mountain, NY
Lineup:
Gov't Mule
Umphrey's McGee
Michael Franti and Spearhead
Robert Randolph and The Family Band
New Orleans Social Club
Ozomatli
North Mississippi Allstars
Tea Leaf Green
New Monsoon
Backyard Tire Fire
"Mountain Jam tickets are available at MountainJam.com beginning on Wednesday, February 21st at 10AM EST. There are a limited number of early bird special tickets for $99 for a 3-Day Pass, and $124 for a 3 –Day Pass with Camping. After that, tickets will be $105 for a 3-Day Pass, and $130 for a 3-Day Pass with Camping. A 1-Day Pass is $65. Ticket prices increase on May 1st and on the day of the show.
On-site camping has been increased since last year's event. In addition, there are other camping facilities and plenty of hotels located nearby."
I'm pretty sure it rained like hell during last year's festival; the photos paint a pretty clear picture of that...

Check this out,
Funnier then shit!
Got this comment from a friend,
THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!
He must have met my evil twin Fronz, he has a bad habit of saying that he is me.
Why the lies? WHY THE DECEPTION ON THE INOCCENT, Remember 2 things,
EVERYTHING YOU KNOW IS WRONG AND YOU ARE BEING LIED TO!(look on Amazon.com for those titles) Then apply the truth of the moment, the breath you breath, and you will know the secret.
Thanks for pointing this out to me. I wonder how many lies are being pedeled over at these forums? For the true fan's sake, I hope not many. Lying is just wrong, grow up!
Hate to disturb you with this, but I have a feeling someone may be bullshitting some fans at antsmarching.org.
"I just got back from spending the weekend at Okemo mountain an I met Stefan there. He was one of the nicest people I have ever met. I did not really talk to him very long because he was with his family and I did not want to bother him, but I did ask him how the album was coming and he said it was complete and would be released in the early summer. I also asked him what type of music would be on it and he said many of the 06 songs and that there was also a mix of some new stuff and some older songs that didnt make previous albums. Just thought I would share this with you fellow ants."
http://www.antsmarching.org/forum/showthread.php?t=187288
If it would be possible to post back about the truth about this it would be cool.

am no longer my own but yours,
Put me to what you will
Put me to doing, put me to suffering.
Let me be employed for you or laid aside for you.
Let me be full, let me be empty.
Let me have all things, let me have nothing.
I freely and wholeheartedly yield all things to Your pleasure and disposal
And now glorious and blessed God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
You are mine and I am yours. So be it.
And this covenant now made on earth, let it be satisfied in heaven.

The Duplex Door
It felt wonderful when Reynolds’ fist connected with Carl’s swollen face. There was something truly fantastic in the sound. Just wonderful. It had been a long time coming after all.
Carl remained kicking on the ground for quite some time, half of his face bathed in his own blood, making a noise which reminded Reynolds of some sort of fowl swine. It made him wonder how the pavement must smell on this particular November afternoon.
Reynolds shook his hand twice, placed it in his coat pocket, and walked to his 93 Chevy. He made a concerted effort not to show the pain, though his fingers pulsed with it. There was no one else that witnessed the glorious act, but Reynolds was resolute that a stoic performance was needed to preserve the beauty of it all. It took every ounce of Reynolds’ resolve not to grin.
He pulled out of the parking lot, careful to readjust his hair in the rearview mirror. It was apparent he hadn’t shaven in days, but that was probably for the best. The scruff covered old scars which, in turn, aged his face. They always upset his mother. And as he hit the right car blinker, he rolled up the window to finally shut out the fading squeals.
On most days, it took Reynolds 23 minutes to drive to the house he grew old in. But today, it took 6 longer. It had been awhile after all, and the lights seemed to fall red – not that it bothered him.
As Reynolds pulled into the driveway and turned off the ignition, he reminded himself that he must try and keep his right hand in his coat pocket. In any case, it would be the polite thing to do. He noticed that the left door of the duplex was a strange crimson color – and certain parts of it seemed even darker than that. Reynolds became aware that he could scarcely remember a time when the entry stood cloaked in fire-engine red, although he was sure it was true.
He had hardly stepped out of the vehicle when a 50 some year old woman came bounding from the crimson door. Like a dove released from its cage, Reynolds thought to himself.
“Oh my god. Oh my god,” the woman cried as she ran. Her hair was thin.
Reynolds smiled grandly at his mother, gently bracing himself. She hadn’t bothered to wear a coat and her bare arms swung around his neck like a Raggedy Ann doll.
“Reynolds. Oh my god. You’re back. Reynolds,” the woman kept repeating it. Reynolds’ shoulder began to dampen.
“Your father isn’t home yet,” she breathed. The phrase, which broke the rhythm of sobs, resulted in silence and yet a warmer embrace. “… He’ll be here soon.”
Reynolds’ eyes, which themselves grew quite wet, refocused on his mother’s shoulder and the darkened streaks that colored her white skin. They ranged from blue, then to purple, and finally to black. It spoiled what should be beauty, he thought.
“Its okay,” Reynolds finally whispered.
He couldn’t remember the time when she was cloaked in clean white, although he prayed such a time did exist.
“I just saw Dad. He thought he might be late.”
(NOTE: Whoa, did NOT know that was the last thing I copied)

At the "Rock the Vote" debate, the moderator inevitably asked,. "Which of you are ready to admit to having used marijuana in the past?"
"Yes," said John Kerry, leading off. "Yes," said John Edwards . "Yes," said Howard Dean. None of these three baby-boomer candidates said anything beyond their short, declarative affirmations. None followed with a hurried explanation that it was just a few times, that it was some kind of "youthful indiscretion," or that he didn't inhale. The implication of their answers seemed to be, "Yeah, so what?"
