Chris and Laura,
We’ve all known each other for a long time. In that time, we have shared together some of life’s highest highs and lowest lows. Even though we have all grown and continue to grow into different people, it is the experiences that we have shared and are creating that keep our friendships full of life. With all of the moving, changing jobs, graduating, going off to war, getting married, going back to school, fights with family, and every other crazy thing that life seems to throw at us, something needs to stay constant amidst the chaos. For us, for the last three years, one of these constants without a doubt has been Dave Matthews Band concerts.
For 363 days out of the year, we are looking forward to these two nights. The funny thing is, as great as the concerts themselves are, they are only half of what is important. It is more about the good times that we share with one another sitting around the campfire, crammed into a car, hiding in our tents from the rain, stumbling over to our neighbors and meeting them, drinking lots and lots of beer, playing Catch Phrase, and everything else that happens.
The thing is, having all of these good times depends on people being able to be there. Sure, something may come up in the future where we are physically unable to be there, but fortunately this isn’t one of those years. After everything that we have all been through together, what kind of friends would we be if we didn’t help each other out every now and again? This is why we (Donnie, Amy, and Andy) have already bought your tickets for both nights. Please accept them because it is something that we truly want to give. We know that you guys hate charity, but that’s not what this is. It also isn’t us trying to show off or have something over your heads or creating m! ore deb t or whatever else. In fact, it is almost selfish, because we want you there for us just as much as we do for yourselves! Don’t worry about having to pay it back immediately (or ever); you have enough on your plate right now to worry about. Focus on finishing school, moving, and reestablishing yourselves in Indianapolis. That is what needs your attention right now.
Yay!! DMB concert in less than two months! It’s going to be a blast!!
With love,
Andy, Amy, and Donnie

You know, Michael, if I may take off my acting pants for a moment and pull my analrapist stocking over my head, George Michael has been acting strange lately. I think he may have developed what we in the soft sciences refer to obsessive-compulsive disorder. Or the O.C. disorder.

Homer: You mean like an electric blanket mobile?
Frink: Uh, well... possibleh... or, you could take something that already exists, and find a new use for it. Like..
Homer: Hamburger earmuffs!
Frink: Uh I suppose that would qualify.

The very personal song seems to deal with the loss of Dave’s father to Cancer, and how he used the tragedy as a strength to become the person he is today. Death references riddle the song, and disease allusions indicate cancer is the cause. But from the darkness of the time came a “light” of inspiration to continue

Genetics account for a whopping 85% of our susceptibility to mosquito bites, and certain elements of our body chemistry make mosquitoes swarm closer. Any type of carbon dioxide is attractive, even over a long distance... larger people tend to give off more carbon dioxide. Movement and heat also attract mosquitoes.

What is power? How do you define it?
What are the characteristics of a powerful person?
What are the positives/negatives to being powerful?
Can only one person be powerful or can multiple people be powerful?
Who is powerful in your group?
How can you tell?
Do you wish you were more powerful? Less powerful?

What is your favorite word?
What is your least favorite word?
What turns you on?
What turns you off?
What is your favorite curse word?
What sound or noise do you love?
What sound or noise do you hate?
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
What profession would you not like to do?
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

The late 90’s/early 00’s were a different time for DMB. Despite being at the top of their popularity, people associated with the band could still talk about some ‘inside’ stuff on fan-sites. Nancies.org and dmbml.com had their message boards frequented by not only Red Light employees, but producer Steve Lillywhite himself. When a song was completed in studio, it wasn’t uncommon for someone associated with the band to go to a fansite (it seemed to generally be dmbml.com) and post excitedly about a new yet-to-be-named (or named for that matter) tune.

hey, do you think any senior Warehouse Member (from '98-'99) would request me tickets to some venues this summer if I pay them face for the tickets and give them a Mint, unused condition Folsom Field CD autographed by Dave Matthews? The autograph is on the front cover sleeve, the 2 CDs have never been used. I got it autographed by Dave when I met him on June 8th, 2005 in Columbus, Oh.
Its not my only Dave autograph, thats why I have no problem trading it for tickets.
If anyone is interested, PM me.
