i was comparing Harrison prime v. Freeney's prime.
While SB achievements are team things, you can't take away from a QB just because he's won multiple Super Bowls, nor can you discount it. You also have to understand that Brady won ALL three super bowls without superstar guys. There weren't any stand-out guys. Hell, he had some guys playing both Defense and Offense. Manning has always had insane weapons, and the years the Colts didn't really do too well is because all his super stars have sucked, were injured, whatever.
I think Manning is the better QB, but its very close. I'd rather have Tommy on my team than Manning, though. Statistically, he's better at getting squads to the SB. You can't argue that.
In 2010 I'd take Rodgers, Manning, Brees over Brady.
Maybe you guys just can't win a SB without Adam Vinatieri kicking a game winning field goal for you guys.
But yea Mankins is an idiot... I don't even hear any teams interested in trading for him. If he does not play at all this year he is really going to fuck himself over

i'm not saying i'd take of those guys over brady, but i think rogers, manning, brady, brees, and schaub are the elite qb's in the nfl. none of those guys are replaceable

:lol Awesome.
I love people who yell at the TV and run in place....or try to call the play.
I have strange rituals. They include, but are not limited to:
1. when tommy hikes the ball, I say "go baby, go baby, go baby, go!" and then "THROW IT!" if he hasn't done so, since Matt Light sucks at life and there's probably a DL-man on his ass by that point.
2. When Wes or Randy catches the ball and are running, I scream "WHEELS! WHEELS!" because I want them to run so fast that their legs look like wheels.
3. When the opposing team's QB hikes the ball, I'm usually yelling some kind of phrase like "_____ him!!!"...the blank can be filled with words like "Kill", "Maim", "cripple", "destroy", "Punch", or "fuck".
4 When the Patriots score a TD, I have my traditional dance, usually which takes place after I high-five anyone in the room. After the dance, I then sing the "ba da da da da da da...HEY!"......usually to my mother over the phone who has just called me while doing the same dance/high-fiving.
5. When the Patriots are running the ball, I generally yell "Make them choke on their own dicks, you asshole!"
etc etc etc. I hope you and your family have similar traditions.

Brady was in a car accident this morning. Not many details available. Apparently it wasn't just a fender bender though. If reports are correct they had to cut someone out of a car but it was not tom. They are saying he walked away and refused to be taken to the hospital. The other party had to be rushed for medical attention.

The other shit was for some stupid stuff...failure to use seat belts, failure to use child safety seats, driving an uninspected vehicle, driving without a license, and failure to signal...stuff i'm sure most or all of us have done at some point.
As of noon yesterday this is basically a non-story, yet news channels are making it the top news headline 12-18 hours later....and last I checked the passenger of the van is in serious condition in the hospital, any word on her...or is it just about how bradys hair got messed up by the crash..or that his car had NJ license plates

I'm really shocked you are taking the other stance on this. Usually you side with the patriots side of the argument. Kid obviously has driving issues. Driving a uninspected vehicle and without a license kind of is a big deal. And stuff like failure to signal and failure to use safety seats shows how careless he is.

I agree, but the media coverage is a little ridiculous..at first they were reporting ANYTHING before even getting the facts straight..ie Jaws of life used on Brady and him being taken to the hospital.
I'm glad Brady is okay, I'm glad he got the money he is worth (although I think it might hurt the Patriots in the long run with the new CBA rules coming down)
and some of the witness comments were pretty funny. the lady with the dogs, the lady that said "well i didn't know it was brady because i didn't see the #12 or a football helmet"..or the lady that felt the need to point out he was wearing jeans (which i wear jeans so i'm just as cool as Brady) but I am surprised he passed up a chance of being on TV and not wearing his TB12 hat

I shouldn't find it hard to believe, but I do, that no one here is concerned with the guy that's actually in the hospital. Did the driver of the van run a red light? Sound like it, but why wasn't Tommy paying more attention to the road so he didn't hit the guy? The van didn't hit him, it didn't come out of his blind spot, he ran right into the side of it. I'd be worried about his field vision this season if I were a Pats fan.
And it's understandable for her not to want to give her name. If she's his sister, she probably has a different last name and doesn't want her family harassed by moron fans who think it's entirely the driver of the van's fault...

Because Mass is a no-fault state, the dollar amount of the medical bills has to hit a certain point before the family can even think about suing, and even then, they can only sue for the cost of the bills and car, not "pain and suffering"...

Because Mass is a no-fault state, the dollar amount of the medical bills has to hit a certain point before the family can even think about suing, and even then, they can only sue for the cost of the bills and car, not "pain and suffering"...
the guy/girl or whoever is in the hospital broke their back...they could go to court to dispute who was at fault...Brady had to ask a witness if the driver of the van ran a red light...
If Brady has a green light, well then wouldn't it just be common sense the other light was red?

Always, because car damage is a simple insurance matter, but bodily injury could turn into a legal matter, so they're always looked at seperately...
Yeah, I didn't know that.

They can't in Massachusetts though because of the no fault law.

No. Mass is a no fault state. The only time you can sue is if your medical bills reach a certain threshold. He probably asked the witnesses for a safe mind. And the guy in the hospital had back issues before the accident, so that will largely come into play...

And if he was lying down in the back of the van, that means he was most likely not wearing his seat belt, which then puts him at even more fault.

Well at least he reacted. But I still find it difficult to believe that Tom hasn't reached out to the guy that was hurt. It's not like the guy in the hospital was driving, it's not his fault at all. I understand it's close to a game day, and hopefully he reaches out after the game on Monday. Say what you want about the guy, but I've always assumed Brady is a pretty upstanding guy for the most part...
He reached out to him multiple times yesterday after the accident. or is calling the hospital not enough should he run over there with a check for 100 grand for something that wasn't even his fault?

Yes, in New Hampshire if you are under 18 you must wear a seat belt. The way it's phrased on the website I posted is a bit misleading, because there is no law about seat belts for people over 18 in New Hampshire.

It's called holding public figures to a higher standard. Or how about being a bigger man? How about just having respect for a fellow human being laying in a hospital bed with a broken back? Would it really kill Brady to sign a football and send it over to the hospital?

OK, serious question Pat fans - What are your realistic expectations this year? I really think the Jets will win the division, but I think it will be by 1 game. I'm just not sure about the Patriot defense. But Brady is going to have a strong year. I think they will go 9-7, but would not be surprised if they go 10-6. I think the Jets will probably go 10-6 as well.
The whole Jet season is basically riding on week 2 against you guys. Win or lose week 1 vs. the Ravens, week 2 is really a must win for us. Both teams trying to show that they are the team to beat in the division, but the Jets have to prove that they are who they say they are.

I think the pats are going to surprise a lot of people this year and be better than expected. 10-6 with the division is a safe call. im going to say 11-5, but i dont think that will be good enough for the #1 seed
