How many more picks did Manning throw while we were sleeping last night?????
Brady > Manning
It was very Brett Farve like...But I still say there was at least holding on #32.
And if there really was not..then the receiver didn't run the right route...Manning is never wrong!
Yesterday proved how much they are missing Dallas Clark. They pretty much have no options on 3rd down.

So that is what Brady was pissed about before the last snap of the game. He was pointing and yelling at the ref.

Hell ya. I'm sick of hearing Peyton is the best QB in the league. This simply is not true. The people saying this have horrible tunnel vision and are only looking purely at stats. When you consider PLAY-OFF performance, where legends are truly made, it's easy to see who is better. There's a great website that compares Manning to Brady in the post-season and its quite hilarious how bad Manning looks.

Manning got them close yesterday, but you can also say that Manning lost it for them too (unless a receiver ran the wrong route). That said, the Pats must tie up their D if they plan on going far this year. Anyone can win on any given Sunday and I do think that they're a better team then the Jets. Jets D is for real, no doubt but I think Woodhead is at times a better running back this year then LT. Woodhead's college stats are unreal if you want to look into them. Of course, at times LT has looked like the old LT too. But Mark will get Sanchized by the Pats on December 5th. Bank it.

Ricky, I wouldnt say Brady is better then Manning just because of last nights game. Chargers always give him a hard time..two years ago he threw 6 picks against the Chargers.
When your running game only gives you 26 yards and the O-Line can't block anyone I don't care who you are you're not going to put up numbers..
Two of his INTS he got hit as he threw, One was clearly a Pass Interference....Colts are nothing on third down without Clark and or a Running game...Manning can only do so much. Wayne dropping everything thrown to him didn't really help

"The road environment is very different than our friendly home crowd, who when I looked up, half the stadium was gone when we were up 21 points early fourth quarter, which I wasn't so happy about," Brady said. It's what happens when your team wins three Super Bowls. When Joe Namath is the one who wins you a ring, and the last time you win won, you have no allowance to be a dick. That's like when Ravens fans think they have Carte Blanche for claiming they are good. Trent Dilfer is nothing to brag about.

Colts are 6-5 and tied for first..not bad with the amount of injures, or your team having stats like 26 rushing yards...in a whole game...If the Colts win the South and the Pats end up with the wild card...Colts will have a higher ranking then the Pats in the playoffs.
Also, this Monday is a must-win for the Pats, not so much for the Jets...which is why I think the Pats will pull this one off, that and it being at home.

That was his longest catch of the season and he's your best "deep threat." Deion Branch isn't a deep threat plain and simple. He's not going to catch a deep ball like he did last week. That was a fluke and ATROCIOUS tackling.
I know that's not the Patriots game, but it's going to allow the safeties to creep in closer to the line.
The Jets are great against the run. They are undefeated on the road (Yes I know the Pats are undefeated at home). It's going to be about how the Pats handle the blitz and if you can stop their run game. If you can't it's going to be a long day. Offensively for the Pats, Welker needs to have a huge day along with Hernandez.

It doesn't matter if they shut him down because we have 4 other receivers who can do the same thing as him. Brady will pass the ball to the open guy whether it's Branch, Welker, Tate, Edelman, Hernandez, Gronkowski, Crumpler, or one the the RBs.

Revis or Cromartie can't lock him up? They've done it to every other receiver.
Your run game is inconsistent. The Colts are awful against the run, what did that prove? Nothing. They also were missing Sanders, Brackett and Sessions and you won by a field goal.
You pounded the Steelers in every way, not just in the run game. It didn't matter whether they had Aaron Smith and their other DE that is out.
But what about the Browns game? Earlier this season against the Jets? The Ravens don't have a GREAT defense anymore and you struggled vs them. It's been inconsistent. Say something besides "omgzzz the jets will shut down Deion Branch whatever will the Patriots do?"

if it's one of the white guys, he'll be running parallel to the line of scrimmage on a deep three yard pattern with 6-8 yards after the catch which will move the chains.
if it's one of the black guys, he'll run some sort of sideline pattern about 12-17 yards out, catch the ball and get pushed out of bounds.
either way, the chains are moving. i don't have a dog in the fight, but i think the Pats are playing at a higher level than the Jets right now. as long as the fans don't leave early, everything should work out ok for New England.

The Jets want and like when their defense is on the field, the Pats need to keep their D off the field as much as they can if they want to win.
Jets defense is better than the Pats offense
Jets offense is better than the Pats defense
= Jets Win...but I'm still picking Pats by 3

Hate to break it to you but other teams know the Pats throw the ball short and they can't seem to stop the yards after the catch.
They also don't have 2 of the top 5 corners in the NFL

Do you really believe Cromartie is a top 5 corner? I hope not. And your linebackers and safeties will be tested in coverage just as much as those 2. 2 corners won't shut down the Pats whole passing game.

the TE's are going to play a big role for the Pats on Monday.
Like I said earlier.. Hernandez is going to have to have a huge game along with Welker

You really need to start paying attention. Hernandez is not even the biggest TE threat on this team right now.

Who else are you putting in there? I'll take Nnamdi, Woodson, Cromartie, Revis & you can make the case for a bunch of other CBs

He has 5 catches for 50 something last week Hernandez had 1 for 18.
He is being targeted a lot more than Hernandez of late. Again try to know what you're talking about.....it helps.

again 2 corners can not shut down the whole Pats offense.
I'm not saying they will shut down the ENTIRE OFFENSE, but read what I wrote. Cromartie and Revis shut down Branch and whoever else Rex chooses. Your run game has been inconsistent this season and the Jets are good against the run. The Pats become one dimensional. You no longer have a deep threat in Randy Moss to stretch the field therefore the safeties will creep up to the line. So if the safeties creep up, those yards after the catch decrease. Get what I'm saying now? I stated that Welker and Hernandez would need to have great games and everyone jumped on my back. I'm not a Jets fan, nor am I a Patriots fan, I'm going solely off what I watch from week to week

You should coach the Pats instead of Bellichick. You seem to have this figured out and I doubt he has thought of this stuff at all.
and the run game has been far from inconsistent as of late. You are acting like they have the worst run game in the league. They still average over 100 a game.

The NFL changes from week to week and we both know that. Just when you think you have a team figured out, they do a complete 180. Especially this season.
Steelers and Colts both have injuries and you ran the ball successfully vs both teams. Pats of all teams should know how devastating injuries are with Welker and Brady missing in the past

I said what about the dropped passes earlier this season? Gronkowski has a 3 TD game and everyone is all over his jock strap. All the Pats fans around Connecticut were bashing him. Talk shows were bashing him and then after the Steelers game he's a saint

He fumbled in the Browns red zone, dropped MULTIPLE passes and was part of the fumbled kick off that led to a Browns TD. All in 1 week. That's why people were bashing him and the next week he catches 3 TD's and people knob slob

So if Sanchez throws 5 picks this week then follows it up with a 5 TD game will you react the same after both games?

So if Sanchez throws 5 picks this week then follows it up with a 5 TD game will you react the same after both games?
That's not what were discussing. Completely different subject. He had a break out game vs the Steelers. Before the Steelers he had been inconsistent from week to week and the Pats fans were on him along with the national media. Inconsistency is different than having 1 bad game.
So what if Sanchez has 1 bad game? Every team in the NFL is allowed a couple bad games a season. Brady had 1 vs the Browns.
Sanchez has at least 3 game winning drivers that I can think of this season (Detroit, Houston and Cleveland.. feel like I'm missing 1) and that shows true leadership. He may not be the greatest QB right NOW like Brees, Brady, Mannings etc. but he sure has proven that he's clutch.
Anyways.. I'm going to bed, it has been fun arguing with you guys! I'm being serious :) It's better than everyone sucking each other off and taking the same stance on a topic. That's what these forums are for. We all like DMB and sports, that's pretty fucking cool if you ask me! I'll be on tomorrow to continue this :bounce

310 yard: 26th in the NFL
25 Catches: 28th in the NFL
12.4 average yards: 27th in the NFL
28.2 yards/game: 30th in the NFL
6 TDs: 3rd in the NFL
I'm just helping you guys out with some stats.
Anyways back to the NY/Pats. Its pretty clear the only position the Pats have more talent at then the Jets is at Quarterback. Is that enough to beat the Jets??? Maybe, it wasn't in week two. Like I said the only difference is Pats being at home...Jets will go into the half up more then seven points, Pats will come back in the second half and win by a field goal...Book it

it was the second week of the season. After a blow out win against the Bengals..You can't really determine how a team is playing in week 2.
Since the Jets lost in a ugly ugly game week 1 and came back week 2 and beat the pats by 14 and their only loss since was a 9-0 against the Packers in GB I guess we can say the Jets are playing 100x better now than week 2.
Aside from the Lions game the Pats are still playing lazy and week in the 4th quarter. And the Jets have had like what 3-4 last minute come from behind wins...This game is almost set up for the Jets to pull out another one the same way they have been winning most of the season.
