Even if they do blow the jets out tonight, the season series is still tied at 1-1

1-1 is still better than 0-2, or did I miss something? Plus if the Pats beat the Jets, the Pats are all alone in the AFC East. You apparently don't understand math too well.

That's not a blow-out. Plus, NE has gotten better; the Jets have just gotten lucky.
If NE wins, we have the best record in the AFC and are in a better position for constant home field advantage in the playoffs. Who gives a shit about the series, this is about being where we should be.

What, in overtime via a shitty field goal after trailing by double digits going into the second half? Okay.
Also in those seasons, NE played tougher teams and fought against great teams. They didn't struggle against Detroit. Trust me, I have the DVDs that highlight every game.

Brady > Manning
Manning will always have more INTs then Brady. Manning is more likely to throw deep or into coverage. While most of Bradys are between 0-10 yards...also the same reason Manning will always have more passing yards.
Clearly Manning has been very mistake prone. His favorite target (clark) is injured and he clearly only trust Reggie Wayne..And Addai is out who was a very good receiving running back
dmbgodagirl41

Manning has more INT, Brady has more TDs in a single season. I can live with that.
This season also shows what happens when manning doesn't have super stars around him. Brady won three SBs without super stars, so what's Manning's excuse? He's like a glorified Culpeper.

Brady had a much better D and running game those years...Manning doesn't need supr stars around him to be a good QB you could put Manning on any team and he would make them super stars..look at White, Tamme (who leads TE with catches)
ALso Brady broke the record by one playing in every game that season. Manning broke the record and sat out the last game of the season..and Brady had Moss and Welker

And Manning had shit players? And Manning was throwing TDs to linebackers (on his own team)? I'll bet Manning on the Raiders wouldn't do shit. It's kind of like the reverse of TO going to the Bills. If he has a shit QB, he's not needed. If you have shit receivers, its not going to happen....kind of like what the Colts have now. Shit.

The argument I think most people are trying to say is when Manning doesn't have super stars around him, he throws picks like they are going out of style and generally sucks ass. When Brady has Moss taken away and now has to rely on youngins, short white guys and a veteran, he rocks.
Think of it this way, I'm pretty sure Mike Vrabel has more Super Bowl TD catches than Reggie Wayne.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/235824-finally-settling-the-debate-brady-v-manning
To decide which quarterback is greater, you must first put in perspective the surroundings. Football is the most dependent sport in the world of the team around you.
In that case, it is obvious that Peyton Manning had a better supporting cast his whole career. Sorry Colts fans, but it is true. In total, he had position players with a combined 15 Pro Bowl Selections and nine First Team All-Pro Selections. I would say those are some pretty good players including Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, and Edgerrin James. He also had an offensive line built around three-time Pro Bowler and two-time First Team All-Pro center Jeff Saturday. All that remains now from those players are Reggie Wayne and Jeff Saturday, but players like Dallas Clark, Joseph Addai, and Anthony Gonzalez all have major amounts of potential.
As for Tom Brady, he had a bunch of "average Joe" position players on offense like David Givens, Deion Branch, and recycled running backs like Corey Dillon and Kevin Faulk. Now these players were all good, but not close to the likes of those on the Colts. Recently however, the Patriots decided to give Tom Brady some backup with rising stars like Wes Welker, BenJarvus Green-Ellis, and Sammy Morris, along with proven players such as Randy Moss, Fred Taylor, and Joey Galloway.
Sucks that the people in here are the only ones that have this opinion.......

disagree! i still think the bears have a good shot at missing the playoffs. they still have to face the packers, jets, pats and vikings and with a team like the rams holding a playoff spot at 6-6, the bears need to win the North because a wildcard spot might come tough

dude, Cutler ain't taking the Bears anywhere this year. You've got the Blackhawks, that's enough, now go jerk off in the Stanley Cup. Cutler will equal Sanchez in interceptions on Sunday. He's a jerky, mediocre QB. I hate Peyton, but he's in a different league than Cutler and Brady is playing better than both. It won't be a contest.

Jay Cutler is not a big game quarterback. The Bears D is good, yes but Cutler will implode. The Patriots have beaten the Ravens, Colts and Steelers and they all have better QBs then Chicago. The Pats will be up for this game and will be prepared.

The Patriots should be favored against Chicago, and they deserve to be. In a game where the Patriots don't even really need it, and it's a road game on a short week. I won't be shocked if the Bears beat the Patriots. Cutler has been playing great since the BYE week. That's when Martz changed the offense to resemble stuff Shanahan used to do with Cutler. I'm sure lots of you saw the Eagles game. Against the Lions when the defense and special teams took the game off. Cutler completed 80.8% of his passes, and had zero incompletions in the 2nd half. I'm sure he's capable of going INT crazy against a team like the Pats, but he has been playing better.
As long as the Bears come out of that game healthy I don't care what happens. I just hope the Bears don't embarrass themselves.

The only way the Pats lose is if they come out and just play like ass. They are just coming off a huge win so it might happen. The Bears don't impress me at all honestly.
Who have they beat??? Green Bay and Philly??? Other than that they are just a product of playing in a shit division. They have beat Detroit twice and both times it was by less than a TD. The best team they have played is the Giants and that resulted in a L.

yes, I watched the game. What purpose does your question serve? We won the game. A win is a win is a win. It's like me asking you if you watched the Vikings game. Is a 10 point win supposed to be impressive? No. But it's a win.
Whatever, I'm heading into this game expecting to lose. The Patriots and bears are both rolling right now, Patriots have done it in a little more dominant fashion. But this defense is capable of stopping Brady and lets not forget Jay Cutler is playing great football right now. He's rarely making mistakes and the Pats defense is clearly susceptible. I hope it's a close game. I'd like to think it will be a close game. And obviously I hope the Bears come away with a W. Not easy coming into Soldier on a short week.

In all honesty they should just give the Pats the division title after that win.
AP: The NFL has announced that the New England Patriots have won the AFC East today. This decision is controversial, as the Patriots were actually behind the New York Jets, with an 11-5 record (The Jets finished 12-4), after collapsing the last 3 games of the season. When asked to comment, Roger Goodell said the following: "Those mother fuckers don't deserve it. They got their asses whooped 45-3."

Look i still don't think the Pats are going to win the Super Bowl this year...but if they do this will be the first year they deserved it.
easily one of the stupidest things i've ever read ont this board. *

:lol :lol
i love how when the pats dominate it's the other team that "gave up"
I didnt say that..the pats did dominate the Jets. But this was suppose to be the game of the century and for them to just come out like that..fall down early. challenge a stupid call...but then don't challenge the TD..that 13 yard punt...stop blitzing when it was working, and that field goal kick was laughable
pathetic
12-07-2010, 10:25 AM
jets had a gameplan. it was to run the ball and use the play action roll out like last time. pats were all over it and the jets fell down big early...there was no room for that game plan and they just self destructed, but that had nothing to do with the pats stellar game plan and tom brady pouring it on.
3029 yards 27td's 4int MVP anyone? oh wait...he's not even top 3 or elite anymore...

:lol you got that right! You remember that the next time you feel like saying i have nothing worthy to add around here. ;)
Also, didn't deserve it in the past? Really? I have all three DVDs (which I watch religiously) of the SB seasons and they fought tooth-and-nail every season and earned every point.
How did they not deserve it?

Not my fault you choose to cheer for some fat frankenstein freak. You must have identified with Sanchez last night, throwing so many picks against the Pats.
Heyyoooooooooooooooooooo.

Mark Sanchez is much more handsome then Peyton i'll give you that.
Maybe Holmes can go to the Colts next year..he seemed to be the only one giving any sort of effort last night..
I didn't really pay attention but did Brady go at Revis at all?

But, to be fair, he probably gets plowed by his own teammates way more (Sanchez, that is).
Holmes on the Colts would just mean more Manning face.

I didn't really pay attention but did Brady go at Revis at all?Brady doesn't "go at" anyone. He typically uses the strategy of passing to whoever's open.

Meriweather is always a can't miss interview. He sounds really dumb. No wonder he was in the dog house for freelancing. I do like him as a player though, except for the one or two bonehead plays he makes every couple weeks.
