Again, what did Suggs say?
Cromartie is a class A retard. But as far as I know, Suggs just said Steelers-Ravens would be Arrmageaddon. Is that insulting?
"i hate the jets" -brady
that's about the extent of his trash talking abilities.

The Colts are exactly where the Pats are, sitting at home after losing to the Jets. The Colts just played them much more closely than the Pats, who don't have anywhere near the amount of injuries the Colts had. They both lost, but at least the Colts were somewhat competitive.

There were so many dumb moves in the game. I have no idea what BB or TB were thinking. Why were they running the ball with 11 minutes left to the game and down 2 scores? It was frustrating.

and why did Woodhead get almost twice as many carries than Green-Ellis??? Woodhead got like one key 1st down and all the other runs were pretty much wasted plays. I love Woodhead and he is great when the other team is expecting a pass but he is not a feature back. It seemed like they went away from everything that made them a great team this year.
Well at least with this team there is always next year. Brady will be here for the rest of his career. Green Ellis emerged as a legit back and the Defense is just going to keep getting better. I actually though the D was not as bad as they looked today score wise. They were forced into that one possession in the red zone pretty much but overall they played alright. I think a few different coaching decisions could have made a big difference. They didn't play that well but they probably played good enough to win if things went right. That fake punt was just dumb. So dumb. Oh well onto better things......

I'm not laughing at the Pats..but its clear that Brady may not be the big game QB he used to be..he has struggled in the playoffs since 2005..0-3 in his last playoff appearances.
Brady/Pats can set all the regular season records they want, undefeated at home, x amount of passes without an INT...but clearly that can't carry over to the playoffs. Did he look like an MVP last night?

Did you even watch the game the game tonight??? The Pats lost by a TD. And they handed the Jets a TD on a stupid Fake punt call that should have just been punted. Try to get your facts straight before you post. Otherwise you look ignorant.
I look ignorant? Here are some facts for you:
With a little less than a minute to play, the Colts were leading the Jets by one. At the same time frame in last night's game, the Pats were down by 14 and the game was effectively over. The only reason the "Pats lost by a TD" is because the Jets defense barely even tried stopping them.
And the fake punt argument is a pathetic BS excuse. Every fan of every team that lost a big game could go back and pick a play of two that had it gone another way the game would've been much different. Jets fans could point out that they really blew a huge opportunity after that Brady interception (which should've been a pick 6 anyway), and again when they couldn't come up with that Pats fumble in the 4th quarter. Then, the Pats would've lost by much more than they did.
Am I still looking ignorant? Got any more excuses to make? Again, last night's loss couldn't have happened to a better fan base.:haha

It was bound to happen at some point. Like you said, the Pats played inhumanly well, particular on defense, and they did it for so long that people thought this was the way it was always going to be. Good teams have shitty games sometimes. It happens. You try and minimize that in the playoffs but it still happens.

they had the perfect run to enter the playoffs. hadnt played bad in over 2 months. blew out the best teams in football and brady played unstoppable. you're right, it had to end eventually, but with only 3 games left, pats fans should have been completely confident as we were. sucks to lose when you feel your team is unbeatable.

I'm not saying you shouldn't have been confident. In fact, you should have murdered the Jets.
But the defense wasn't nearly as good as it was playing, and the Pats won a few games (Baltimore, San Diego, Indy) that could have gone either way. They were still a very good team, but 14-2 was probably a little misleading and covered up some holes at RB and defense.

The only teams fans that have earned the right to talk right now are the Jets, Bears, Steelers, and Packers. (Because they are actually still playing football)
The Patriots would have beaten any other team they played, minus maybe the Mangini led Browns, they proved that this year.
The Patriots were the best team in football, the only teams all year able to beat them were teams with a motive.
Jets (x2) obviously one of the hottest rivalrys in the NFL, either team can win any matchup regardless of record or history.
Browns: Mangini has done pretty well against his mentor.
What can the rest of the NFL say about their experiences with the Pats this year?

maybe defensively, but much of that can be thanked to coaching. Offensively, and losing two extremely important players at TE and RB, plus the other 12 IR players. Rodgers didn't have an MVP season, but it's not because the Packers have too much talent, he just didnt have the numbers.

Yea I was a little vague with my comment. I meant too much talent with the numbers he had. Obviously if he had 40 TD's with the talent around him he would get the MVP.

Yup. That's where the loss came from imo. Brady actually played well enough to win the game and so did the defense. They didn't play their best game but well enough to win. I have no problem with deferring the toss. They do it all the time. How they were not happy just going in to the half down less than a TD when they would be getting the ball is beyond me. That was the definite turning point in the game.

There is no way Chung called that play without Bill saying it was ok run if he thought he could get the yardage. Which is stupid on its own. It just should have been a punt. Don't even put that thought in Chungs head.
the way i heard it reported is that the special teams were given that tip during the week. the jets were rushing the punter so bb told chung if he saw an opportunity during the game then go for it. i dont care if there were only 8 jets on the field and they were all fat asses...you dont take that risk in that part of the game.

What's nuts is, even if he caught that snap it still seemed like it wouldn't have worked. And I agree, no way he got the full call on that play.
really? there's like 15 yards of open field he would have had to run...
that's not the point though. it's too risky to even try

when asked about it Bill didn't want to make a comment..he usually owns up to things that he called...and judging by the exchange he and chung had on the sidelines it was all on Chung.
Look at their punt unit..Rookie kicker, a long snapper they pulled off the street mid-season and a rookie in Chung being the up man is in position to call those type of things

Hey alright...someone gets it. Unfortunately most fans of these other teams are dumb as hell. This team loses (or any Boston team) and this board turns into a shit fest for a couple days. Not so much Rams fans I'm sure they are just fooling around but some of the Colts and Ravens fans sure do bring the :lol'z
It's too easy. Although the Ravens shit the bed against Pittsburgh, it was nice to see the Pats get sent home, especially after they beat Baltimore earlier this year.
Didn't seem like he thought it was too funny :lol
Don't worry it won't ruin my day. I was just making an observation, my bad.
Contrary to the posts, I was rather amused tbh. It's not often you can get personal shots involved when trolling.
:lol I know. I obviously don't think he is a geek for playing COD. I was just talking shit like he was. It's the internet.
You're unaware of how much I actually play. I have a job, workout regularly and all that good stuff though so it's all moot anyhow.
If CoD had a vagina I'd be all set.
Phil is honestly the worst tailgate poster though. I bet if you looked through his 1000 posts in this forum not one of them is literally about sports. All he does is type shit in teams threads when they lose and type "Win" in the Rays thread when they win. At least we don't have to worry about the latter much this year. Rays will be horrible.
You and him and bianca and converse provide the most lulz. Most everyone else posts like they're the absolute truth when it comes to sports though. It's why I kept my posts in the Flacco thread and out of the NFL thread.

You don't "choose" to follow a team that is successful. Most people are brought up in an area that supports certain teams.
Even if you are in an area, you do decide what teams you root for - most likely they are going to be close, or you have some other personal connection. But, that post, was complaining about how fans earn the right to talk a little smack - which is silly, because a). fans don't earn anything & b). even if they did, then this now decided by what team you decided to root for & c). no one believes that.
Everyone, but Yankee fans, hates the Yankees. The Pats for the past decade have basically been the Yankees of football, due to their success & arrogance, so naturally, fans of most other teams are going to enjoy their failures - just like most of us do with the Yankees (and now the Red Sox), and most people do when (if) the Lakers fail.

Look who you are talking too. It's not even worth getting into. The Pats were a couple dumb decisions away from still being alive. Yes they lost yesterday but this "Can't win in the playoffs" shit is absurd. Losses happen and they will learn from it.

The Pats deserve a lot of credit for their personnel moves. Typically the Lakers & the Cowboys haven't had Yankee-esque payrolls, and also get their share of hate. It is what it is.
This is how people look at them, for their success. 10 years ago I could give a shit about if the Pats won a game, but now I usually root for them to not win.

i dont think pats fans are worried... we saw a great team on the field this season the past 2 months. nothing says they cant be back there next season.
maybe fans of other teams that dont usually make it too far would be worried, but i have all the confidence that BB and brady will put a better team out on the field next season.

People tend to forget that at the start of the year this team was pegged to finish third in the AFC East, win about 9 games and have a useless defense.
