How many times has Manning won it all ???? I guess there is no way he can be considered the best of all time right?
lets go back 10 years..give Brady 4 MVPS and 1SB and Manning 1MVP and 3SBs I'll agree Brady is better

yes he did..and now its the Patriots turn...again Pats = Colts
Its a QB league, but teams without attacking Defenses do not win championships...like i said in the Brady/BB thread
Manning has dealt with it for a decade
Marino dealt with it his whole career
Elway didn't win until he got a defense around him
and now its Bradys turn.

Phil is honestly the worst tailgate poster though. I bet if you looked through his 1000 posts in this forum not one of them is literally about sports. All he does is type shit in teams threads when they lose and type "Win" in the Rays thread when they win. At least we don't have to worry about the latter much this year. Rays will be horrible.
Bruins won :multiI just like to give you shit Ricky.
How about the Lightning?:lol

the risk heavily outweighs the reward there.
if the pats do make the conversion they are still 60 yards away from the endzone with 1 time out and a little over a min left on the clock...thats the best case scenario if you make it
if you punt it you give the jets the ball on their own 30/40 with a min left.
they faked and gave up the ball basically in the redzone with a min left.
def not worth it

DMBstandUP1984

and to think it could have been a lot worse..the INT should have been a pick 6, Sanchez missed about 5 wide open recievers...if he connected and that fat slob that got the pick made it to the end zone..it would have been like the Dec game reversed.
Face it Jets are the best team in the AFC east over the last few years...two trips to the AFC Championship game and 3-2 against the Pats over the last two years...the Dolphins/Bills would be smart to pony up on some elite pass rushers clearly once you start knocking around Brady he gets rattled...Jets were only rushing 3-4 guys and when they didn't rush anyone he was getting freaked out by phantom rushes..he looked like Bledsoe in the pocket just standing there patting the ball waiting for something to happen.

I have to say the dumb ass move of the playoffs was the colt who rran into the punter at the end of the game, granted we still scored you can't makemental mistakes like that and the one chung made in the playoffs. how does it not make sense..in the past 3 seasons New England is 3-4 versus the Jets...0-2 streak in postseason home starts..last four years 2-3 in the post season. 2008 didnt make the playoffs and don't give me 11-5 shit..beat the Chargers that year and you make it...2006 lost to the Colts in what ended up being the biggest AFC championship comeback. 2005 lost in the divisional playoffs to the Broncos....28 - 0 at home? who gives a shit..16-0 regular season..kind of doesn't matter when you lost the super bowl.

it's funny that you dig for these stats because the way i see it is that the pats are a rebuilt/young defense with a different offense. they have the right guy at qb and the perfect head coach. i wouldnt be suprised if this team makes a couple more superbowl appearances before brady finally hangs it up.
throw up the colts stats with peyton in the playoffs. they've won 1 title since he's been there in 98. quite dominant for someone with all the regular season stats anyone could ever ask for.

As good as the Patriots have been, you can't deny the fact that they got beat as a 14 point favorite in the Super Bowl against the Giants, got smoked as a home favorite against Baltimore, and got handled by the Jets at home as a 9.5 point favorite. They are not the same team they were pre-07. I'll leave out the 11-5 year, they lost their best player.

None of this means losing in the playoffs is now their "protocol". It's 3 losses. You can't discount the 16 before that they had in a row. If Brady and Bill were gone yeah then you probably could. But they are not.

and when is rodgers in the same class as brady? when you compare 2 qb's that are in the same class it can come down to rings and playoff records...Rodgers is great, but he is still far from being what manning/brady are...
joking man, no worries. Clearly I'm not saying Rodgers is in their league

Well, I'm not really an NBA expert or anything, but I dunno, it just doesn't seem the same. One thing that's just surface is the lack of calls during a game for things like double dribbling or travelling. I once saw Queen James bounce the ball at the half court and then not again until right before he took a shot right by the basket.
If Jordan played now or had the same leniency in terms of that shit when he played...holy hell, he'd be ridiculous.
Could just be me, though. I only watch the Celtics/really give a shit once the playoffs come. I don't watch much or pay attention otherwise, so I'm not really an expert.

The difference between 1993 and 2011 is the talent level and athleticism of the players. This is the one time you can hate the player and not the game. You think the 94 Knicks would stand a single chance against the 2011 Thunder? And the 94 Knicks go down as one of the better defensive teams to ever even make the Finals.

Traveling has always been missed occasionally. NBA players do not double dribble. If they do it gets called. They might commit a carry every now and then but that even usually gets called.
first bold: exaggeration
second bold: of course they have tightened up the game. There is nothing wrong with that. Jordan would definitley score more points under today's rules.

Same kind of stuff is done in the NFL and MLB and not every NBA franchise does these things. The other sports just don't use a PA announcer they use a Fog Horn, Jumbotron, etc. With the exception being the music but not every NBA arena does that.

We've always been a baseball town. Disputing that would be ridiculous. We are merely viewed a football town now because of the constant success of the Patriots. and I only make fun of Yankee fans with comments like "Da Pastzz!!1!!" When they bring the Championships the Yankees won in the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's into an argument. Example 27 > 7. I couldn't care less about any of those titles except the last 5. When someone says losing in the playoffs is now the Pats protocol or something dumb along those lines I think bringing the post season record in the Brady/Hoodie era is totally relevant. but the NY Jets who have been in the Playoffs and lost 5 times since 2002 have no protocol of losing before the big game??? If it happens this year it would be the 6th time since 2002 they lose before the Superbowl.

Its completely different. The Pats are like the Yankees. Yanks won in 96, 98, 99, 00, and made it in 01 and 03. Then, they went through a playoff drought, only to win again in 2009, making in 5 championships in a span of 13 years, pretty unbelievable. But everybody said that the Yankees protocol was to lose in the playoffs. A couple more years of losing, and they will get the same treatment. They had so much success that losing the last 3 that they did, when they are heavily favored, is going to make people question if the team will do it again.
Now, in all likelihood, they will. But you can't compare the Jets postseason failures to the Pats. unfortunately for us, we never won anything and have no success!
