Good grind-it-out win, beating the Jets at their own game. The Jets might go 8-8 this year. They really just aren't as good as they were last year, and I thought they were flawed then. They have a tit schedule with a lot of home games to end the season, but I think they're in real trouble. They were lucky that Romo was Romo, and I could see them losing to the Chargers, Buffalo once, Pats again, the Eagles (I know, I know, but I think they would present matchup problems), and the Giants.

ya, it shouldnt have been though. hernandez dropped a pass that no one ever drops :lol that would've put the pats up 10 at the half with the ball coming back. could've been a laugher.
i liked the pats beat the jets at their own game though. the whole week all we heard was ground and pound from the jets, and the pats end up doing it to them.

That's more for private events and functions. Patriot Place which is the shopping/food promenade surrounding the stadium has a bunch of bars and restaurants. CBS Scene will definitely have the early games on.

Ya, in the back of a pick up truck preferably with a grill, lots of beer in a cooler with is, and a football.
Seriously tho, if you have a car, I would highly consider packing it up and actually tailgating. It will probably be cheaper anyways bringing snacks, beers, not to mention its a boatload more fun... meet some good people, share some good food... thats what I usually do. However having a full sized grill and marinated everything sparks the attention of our tailgating neighbors ;)
However if you don't do that, or can't, hit up Bar Louie or CBS Scene. I prefer Bar Louie just because the food is really good (for bar food.) Spend a few hours there and get lit before the game, and you should be good to go

for what it's worth, dallas hasn't lost by more than 4 pts since the blowout last nov. 7th at green bay. plus, dallas is coming off a bye healthy. and new england's d isn't that great. new england will most likely win this game, but if i'm betting, i'm taking the boys to cover.

We'll see - I know the Pats D isn't good but the Cowboys can't run the ball. If they try to do it all through the air they are going to suffer a few classic Romo interceptions. They won't be able to afford that because the Pats will score almost every time they have the ball

yeah, i'm not buying that either. dallas has a much improved defense this year. the pats aren't just going to be able to score at will.

they cant run the ball that good, really. why do you think garrett called all passing plays last week in the second half up 24? zero confidence in felix/demarco/choice.
cowboys can also score on every drive against this defense too.

i honestly have no idea what the thought process was in that detroit game. i read someone joke somewhere that dallas could've knealt and punted on every possession in the second half and still probalby would've won the game. confidence or not, they should not have been throwing the ball all over the field.
i think the run game could be a lot better, they just need to balance out the playcalling more.

the whole world knows tony is mistake prone at times, and yet they put the game entirely on him, every single week. its unfair.
again though, i think we can do some things in both attacks against this defense.

if its 2nd and 1, i dont care who you are, you run the ball so its not a sack and 3rd and long now.
3rd and 9 is not exactly "long" for this offense.
dduncan6er
10-16-2011, 04:54 PM

Regardless it's still a great time to take a shot. You're likely going against a base D playing the run, and if there's not a sack you can run it on 3rd and 1.

this is probably the biggest test for the Patriots offense so far this season. The Cowboys D is legit and now they got Ryan running the show.
I wouldn't worry Patriots fans the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys is still Tony Romo. Even if the Cowboys are up 14 with a minute left in the fourth I still wouldn't feel good about the Dallas winning
