Any Kerryisms yet? I've been trying to listen closely whenever he's on television. Haven't caught anything of this magnitude yet.
Our president is a nice guy. But he's not an articulate public speaker. But hey, he's just the president, representing our country all around the world. That's no big thing, right?

I've been trying to find some Kerryisms that are funny, but all he has is long winded quotes that just bloat his speeches more than add substance. They really aren't any fun to read.

Honestly... can you picture Kerry saying something this ignorant? Bush's worst lines come because he gets flustered and angry standing up at the podium. He has no real confidence in what he's saying, and so he gets tongue-tied and confused.

I don't remember Clinton or Reagan or any of the other presidents make as much mistakes as Bush has in his public speaking. That's about 30 sentences worth of material out of the millions of words that the President has spoken in the last 12 months. If any person in the world had every word that came out of their mouth videotaped and transcribed, they would easily say 30 asinine things over the course of a year. If someone makes any level of their voting decision based on mass-email type garbage like a collection of stupid quotes, then he or she is a moron. As I mentioned in another thread, it's akin to using the Monica Lewinsky scandal to totally discount Bill Clinton's presidency, which is an unfair thing to do.

I disagree, the president (unfortunately) is a representative of the United States. If the president, the leader of the United States, can't speak with out looking like a fool, then what is the rest of the world going to think about the U.S. and it's citizens? I just moved back from the Netherlands not too long ago...every speech Bush made was broadcasted over there. The Dutch and many Europeans are interested in the United States politics and this what they see. And unfortunately they judge the U.S. citizens by the actions of Bush.

Does everyone in the Netherlands think that all 50-year old American married men have oral sex performed on them, in their office, by women who are young enough to be their daughter? I highly doubt it. It's no different here. People screw up sometimes, it's human nature.

No, but they think we're illiterate cowboys who doesn't give a fuck about the rest of the world. Clinton knew how to keep good foreign relations with the Netherlands. He visited on a regular basis (save the pot and prostitute jokes). I understand people screw up sometimes, but Bush has screwed up a lot more than a few times. Hilarious. So to jumble words and accidentally say something stupid once every few thousand sentences is not "representing the country and its citizens in a positive manner" but Clinton, getting a blowjob from a young girl in what is arguably the most important room in our entire country, is ok? Note: the Clinton thing doesn't really bother all that much when I think about the big picture, but neither do Bush's little misstatements.

Maybe Bush was a jackass (none of us were there), but he still graduated and that's not easy. Read the book "Year One" about how hard b-school is at Harvard.
And with Mary Jacoby's journalistic horsepower, I can't believe she didn't get a return call from the White House.

If one professor says it, it has to be true. :lol Do you get all of your information off websites that make you sit through 2-minute commercials about Vonage broad band phones? .Did I say it was true? I was just offering up a little info. And I apologize that a lot of the news sites out there these days are subscription but I have no control over that. But to answer your question, as far as the web goes anyhow I get my news from anywhere news.google.com is pointing to and read several articles on just about any issue i'm interested in to get different view points. Do you just assume that everyone who graduated from college did it on their own merit?
Maybe Bush was a jackass (none of us were there), but he still graduated and that's not easy. Read the book "Year One" about how hard b-school is at Harvard.I am quite sure Harvard Bus School is hard actually. I never said it wasn't. If a man considered a dunce there can still become president i'm sure that those who do well are actually extremely intelligent.
And with Mary Jacoby's journalistic horsepower, I can't believe she didn't get a return call from the White House. You just decide to throw that out there?

avoiding the question....I'll ask it again
are you claiming to know the exact personality traits that cause the present to get tongue tied, or were you just making that up? and, if you do have special knowledge where did you get it?
Not avoiding the question, fuckhead. Listen up:
Personality is what others see, not what you as a person know about yourself. Of course I'm NOT inside his mind--nobody ever knows exactly what another person is thinking. (I feel like I'm explaining to a third grader here...)
I know that when I saw the "present" speak at the first debate, what I saw was someone who didn't have anything concrete to back up his beliefs, someone who got flustered and aggravated (it was physically apparent) and who therefore stuttered and made awkward pauses the entire night.
If I have "special knowledge" I got it from being a human being living on the planet Earth with other human beings. Where did you get your knowledge?

Did I ever say that Clinton's ordeal was OK? I said he kept good foreign relations and he did. If Bush only screwed up as much as you say he does, than that would be okay. But he doesn't, he screws up a lot more often. Just read this thread and Bush's quotes. There are a lot more than just a few. Can you give any examples from any other presidents or politicians who screw up as much as Bush? If you can give me a few examples and I will eat my words.

I clearly said that the Clinton thing is NOT justification for Bush's speaking problem. I happen to believe in the fallibility of human beings, no one is perfect. You raised the issue of Bush's public speaking issues making everyone in the Netherlands believe we're illiterate cowboys and mentioned that because of Bush's public speaking, he misrepresents our country internationally. If that's the case, I just don't see how Clinton scandal didn't do the same thing [that is, make America look bad]. And for the 3rd or 4th time, I don't think using the Clinton scandal is a fair way to judge Clinton, just like a list of quotes is not a fair way to judge Bush.
I'm not claiming Bush is the best public speaker in the world. But making some grammatical and unintentional errors does not make someone a complete moron either.
If you want to credibly attack a politician, go after the issues, not some lame ass list of one-sentence quotes. If you think Bush's policies suck, I respect your right to have that opinion, but I try not to use mass email material to attack or defend policies and/or politicians.

I agree it could appear shady. I just think that in big business, which a country restructuring is, a results-oriented approach generally tends to prevail. Worrying about the rumor mill only slows down the process.

We'll reduce this to easy numbers:
I buy a lemonade stand for 89 Dollars.
10 years later I sell my lemonade stand for $250.
It looks like I made $161. Right? Wrong.
During those ten years of ownership my operating losses were well over $161. I lost money on the deal.

Unless W & Co consistently had to come out of pocket to subsidize the operating losses, your logic is entirely backward. Assuming they could finance some of the operating losses through debt, which most businesses do, the partners in the LLC (which it likely was) all received tax benefits that carried to their personal tax returns and took the 'big profit' on a long-term capital gain basis (i.e. the best way). But you know all that I'm sure.
And when did Bush drive the Rangers into bankruptcy? I'm not saying it didn't happen, but I can't find any evidence to support that.

See the Dutch (and I think it's safe to say everywhere else, at least in Europe) didn't give a shit about Clinton wanting some action. They knew he was a smart guy who knew what he was doing, based on the fact that he visited the country regulary. So that means that the Dutch politicians knew him personally and know what type of man he is. When he spoke in public (all of his speeches were broadcasted as well) they found that he could speak well. And when someone speaks well, people think they are educated and know what they are doing. But when you fumble your words and make stupid errors (not just mispronouncing words) people tend to think that he is uneducated and illiterate. That's the difference between Bush's not knowing how to speak in public and Clinton's ordeal.
I will attack a politician (not just Bush) and their ability to speak in public. I do think the presidents not knowing how to speak in public, for the reason of being misrepresented, is an important issue. And those mass emails, videos, and websites, just gives me material to prove my point. I don't see how people can excuse Bush or any other politician, when it comes to misrepresentation which is happening due to Bush's lack of knowledge on how to speak in public. Believe me if Clinton, Cheney, Edwards, or any other politician had the same problem with public speaking as Bush does...I would be flaming them too.

We really just have a difference of opinion on that then. I think someone can be still be competent leader even if he or she makes an airhead comment every once in a while when they're speaking to a large group.

I'll try and work at becoming more of an intellectual like you in an attempt to come up with some unique and unfounded hypotheses such as "I don't care what anyone says, I don't think W earned his degrees, I really don't. I have no proof, so don't ask, its my opinion."

But you have to be pretty dumb to trade Sammy Sosa and put the Rangers into bankruptcy. Then sell the team for a loss.
Was the bk court document just too large to post or have you just not found it yet?

I'm sorry if I came off like an asshole or if you thought I was attacking your opinion. I didn't mean to, I just like to debate.

No problem, I'm not trying to be a jackass either. I like discussing these issues a lot. This is by far the most frequently I've ever posted on this site.

Just thought I'd check on the status of:
1. the bankruptcy information
2. the evidence that shows that Bush's investors lost money.
